@@soulmca see, I don't even know what this terminology means, went right over my head. Maybe one day, I'll understand what you meant.

So technical playing is your actual ability to play bass: string skips, fretting hand, plucking hand etc. Just playing songs works these things but does not WORK ON these things. Meaning you are using them but your focus is not on isolating the technique of your playing. As a result you learn the song but you may play it poorly because you are focusing on what your body is doing to actual play the song. Hope that helps

I cannot or rather I will not. KZfaq does this thing where it will hit my videos if copyrighted music is played in them. It is an ongoing battle I have had so I do my best to avoid the music all together. Sometimes I still get hit even with no music because I am playing the songs exactly as they are.
