This earbuds brings me back to the days of the Truengine series from Soundpeats, and it’s cool to see how far earbuds have come from those days. But this model has a few problems.

Definitely a tech review not an audio review. But to be honest this is one of the clearest sounding earbuds. Not sure why review channels like this emphasize on features at this price range. Anc and transparency mode even call quality usually are trash at this price. So for me, engine 4 is a good purchase.

I would disagree with this guy. I got them for 40 bucks. There are other earbuds that don't have much but cost more.

If people really want anc that bad and are butthurt that these dont have it then get the opera 05. They are absolute chonksters because it has the same sound setup along with all the noise cancelling hardware stuffed inside it. The engine 4s are made for more "casual" people who just want good sound at a good price range with neat looks and thats what they are good at delivering. I hate that things like these get lower scores and reviews because of bells and whistles it "lacks" that arent essential to its character such as wireless charging, ear detection, and call quality.

Just if only they make engine 4's mic a lil better... Just a bit more... I swear it will be the best option for me. Im down for the sound quality

Air4 Pro exists for whoever wants ANC Personally, battery drain from ANC isn't worth it, especially with how good passive noise isolation is on the Engine4 (compared to stem-style buds like the Air4 Pro)

I was looking for the best sounding buds with LDAC on a low budget and for me these are it. I use these only when I'm at home, mostly when I lay in bed, to listen to lossless music from Tidal and for this they are perfect. I use an app to have them switch to LDAC High quality automatically without having to go into developer settings everytime and this works flawlessly. I don't need any of those 'missing features'. For this price you can't have a high end codec, good sound and a bunch of features. It's one or the other and for what I needed these, they are perfect. I have Galaxy Buds and Shokz Openrun Pro's for when I leave the house. They have all the features these don't have but they lack LDAC and they simply don't sound as good as these. And they both were more expensive than these...

Hi! I hope you see this reply. May I ask what app you use to automatically switch to LDAC automatically? This is my first time buying earbuds for myself and I really feel I should go with these ones. I also like listen to music while lying on bed, but I tend to rest a lot on my sides so this might be a problem considering the bit of chonky-ness the Engine 4's have; but the problem might be mitigated simply by placing an extra pillow on my head to ellevate it as I did with my previous buds, the Baseus WM01. (I lost them) Would you still say the Engine 4's are still a good buy today? Or do you have any better suggestions at this price range for people who don't really prioritise ANC & transparency? Thanks!

@@okite374 I use "Bluetooth Codec Changer" from developer "AmrG DEV" on the Play Store. I still like the buds very much for their sound quality. As of now, I don't know of any buds that sound better for the price. I must say however, if you want to use them laying on your side, these aren't the best buds. They do stick out a lot and aren't very comfortable when laying on your side. Also, when laying on your side, the bud you're laying on get pressed into your ear which causes the stereo imaging getting completely messed up. The bud your laying on sounds a lot more muffled than the other one. In short, they aren't the buds to get if you plan on laying on your side with them. I usualy lay on my back when I'm listening to them in bed and that works perfectly.

Beautiful design but poor execution that's a spot on conclusion. Exactly what I was thinking. Why can't they just take the H2 and give it ANC, Ambient mode and LDAC. If it's a decent product people will pay more for it i believe. Thanks for the review it's a good one. 💯👍🇺🇸

I just got mine... they are sound good for Non ANC IEM..... but the latency, you will notice the delay. 😭😭😭😭 anyway, I just bought for cheap price. (ShoppeePH Sale 6.6) - very annoying on my Huawei Novs5t, you here pops while adjusting the EQ, sometime the audio drops. on iPhone, plays well, no problem so far.

I bought this earbuds assuming they had ANC and Transparency mode, given they have BT5.3 dual device pairing and the price is close to the Redmi Buds 4 and the soundcore a40. Without that feature they're difficult to recommend over the ones I already mentioned.

Engine 4 for sounds. Almost all of sp anc gets less sound quality reduction. So if u only want sound good just get non anc one

@@jojoenathan I have Soundpeats 3SE and Anker Life dot3i, but 3SE have 90% noise isolation almost the same like Anker when the ANC on.... So the passive ANC is really good. What about Engine 4?

Bought the engine 4 and was shocked how bad it sounded (yes! I did upgrade the firmware). The bass was completely lacking no matter what kind of eq I used via app. Turning on ldac with my android, made the sound worse…go figure. So back they go today. I bought it based on so many rave reviews. Pure crap.

DO NOT listen to these youtubers, they're prolly sponsored. Anywho, I bought the engine 4 and let me tell you, the worst purchase I've ever made in my entire life,; the sound quality is not that good, earbuds are too chunky and heavy, also within a week my left earbud's sound got dropped all of sudden and now it's useless, the left earbud's sound is way lower than the right one and it's not fixable.

@@vinegardoppio4135I've got that question as well, I don't actually prioritise ANC & Transparency so it's a hard choice for me to pick cheaper earbuds with these features but might not have sound quality as good as the Engine 4's
