when i was to get married, i chose my father-in-law to be to walk me down the aisle because i wasn’t in a good place with my father. But my FIL told me to walk with my father or i would regret it one day. 34 years later, he was right. I am in a better place with my father and that would have hurt some feelings along the way. When we teach young ones to listen and learn from those with experience, hopefully they can grow and be able to pass on their experience to someone else❤

I'm a Dad, and I approve this Father of the Bride speech! My Daughter is 13 and I know this day will come. Mr. Crowther's cander was spectacular. Those who felt his speech went on for too long are missing the big picture. The man just summarized 20 some years of Fatherhood in 24 minutes. Well said Sir!

Everything about this was so sweet! He was witty, and at the same time showing the tremendous love he has for his daughter and meanwhile welcoming the new son in law and calling him “his son.” That takes a lot from a Dad and it also shows that this young man has been a wonderful guy to the bride (his daughter). Was he long winded? In my opinion, no. The brides family traditionally pays for the lions share of the wedding, so I’m sure that neither the bride or the groom had any issue giving him 24 minutes of the reception to speak what was on his heart. Like I saw another comment I read, unfortunately one day she may no longer have her dad and they will always have this special video to look back on as a memory. I loved every minute of it. In fact I wish I had a dad like him. He seems to be an amazing man with a good sense of humor and a huge heart.

Yes, it was LONG... but oh so very sweet and heartfelt and I'm sure not one person there had an issue with the length of his speech other than the bride (daughter) and to her chill out feel special be happy that you have a wonderful father that took the time and put so much thought and emotion into his speech see it as that is the last night he's no longer your provider, your protector, the #1 man in your life he now passes the torch to your husband so let him have those last 24mins as one day he will not be around and you will look back at this video watching & listening wishing there was not an end to it. Learn to be patient live in the moment for what it is don't try to speed up or hurrying along these precious life moments. Once you're a parent you will completely understand. I applaud this father and again I note to the daughter she's a very lucky lady. With that being said I enjoyed this video very much so and only issue I had or only moments that bothered me a bit is the couple times it was on the bride and while the father was pouring out his emotions she was seen telling him to speed it up.

I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other. I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. It does seem that nearly all fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for the rest of their lives. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters ever dating if that ever happened.
