I noticed that every U.S state has their own high school football champions that went to state and won. You have the texas state champions, california state champions and so on. What if it went even further than that. What if all the champions from each of their state competed with each other to see who really is the best high school football team in the country?

Cesar Perez for one thing the season would be too long. Another thing is it would cost each school/school district a lot for the travel. It would be a 50 team playoff. It just doesn’t make sense

The Top HS foot ball States: 1.Texas 2. Florida 3. Alabama 4. California 5. Oklahoma

Maybe it could work if you took the top 4 or 6 teams in the nation and had a playoff, but their is no way you can have a 50 team tournament with football.

The difference between Texas high school football and every other state is that most every other state has a handful of quality teams... And some states (Florida and California) have 2-3 ELITE teams, but Texas separates itself from all other states because of the quality AND quantity of teams. It is insane how deep they are. - Sincerely a lifelong Oklahoman

Of course bruh. Texas population alone allows that. Other than Florida and California, Texas has the largest population of the "football dominated states." But I can tell you this, between Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida,California and South Carolina, there's at least 5 elite teams from each state that could win at the national level.

@@snoopj15 The original commenter is saying that across the board other states like Cali and FL don’t compare to Texas when it comes to the quality of HS football programs throughout. Meaning those states might have a few nationally recognized programs that are dominant but the level of play eventually drops off more quickly and/or significantly than it does in Texas. Population isn’t a factor since the two states mentioned have equal or greater populations.

In the greatest finish ever to a high school football game, a team recovered and scored on four consecutive onside kicks in the fourth quarter and had the lead. One of the broadcasters said, "I done wet my britches." With a couple of seconds to go, they kicked off. The other team took it for a touchdown and won. The guy was crying. Anyway, this one was just another last second win. Be sure to mute this before 1:11. Respect your ears. *Edit:* Three onside kicks. False…look presnap at the ball. It’s almost touching the yard line, maybe 2-3 inches off of it. Then look where is front foot is when he releases the ball - about half a yard, or approximately 18 inches off the yard line. In real-time and even from the naked eye zoomed out…I understand it’s hard to tell. But I guarantee you he was - by the slimmest of margins - behind the line of scrimmage. And video review confirmed this.

Yeah for as long as I can remember the Texas state championship has been where the Cowboys play (Old Cowboys Stadium or New ATT Stadium where they play now).
