I'm italian - I do not know nothing about Huskies football and I was only making a search to watch Moon playing at college when I saw Spider Gaines playing - he was something as a receiver! How did happen such talented player did not show up in the NFL!?

Good question, Max. In my opinion, NFL scouts in the 1970s had limited resources in comparison on today's standard. So a lot of good and deserving players were ignored. I think it was ridiculous that Warren Moon wasn't drafted nor signed in the NFL prior to 1978 season. Like I said, lack of modern resources.

+Dominic Michael Martinez It wasn't a lack of resources for the NFL, it was more about Moon being a Black QB. I think he won 6 Gray Cups in Canada and was their all time yards champion for many years til recently. It wasn't until the USFL emerged that he got his chance to play in the pros in the states. I think they were going to sign him and the NFL had already lost a lot of talent to the USFL, Houston decided to sign him

Spider had addiction issues after college, that's why he never made an impact in the league.
