Snake plant is an ideal choice for beginner gardeners because it is difficult to kill. It's great in a container and grows well on the floor or on tabletop displays. Snake plant thrives in warm weather and struggles in cold conditions. This plant is drought-resistant but is susceptible to overwatering which lead to root rot.2 Only water the plant if the soil feels dry. These plants can go two months between waterings in the winter months. In warmer months, water no more than every two weeks.

How long does it usually take one to bloom? I didn't realize they bloomed. I just bought one (a tall one in a 8" pot) a couple weeks ago. Have no idea how old it really is. Would love to see it bloom!

Выращенные из листа никогда не будут иметь желтой полосы по краю, они будут чисто зелеными, чтоб повторить окраску, нужно обязательно брать отросток от корня!)

Не обязательно. Есть где-то 1% вероятность, что Сансевиерия сохранит свои гены/окраску при размножении листьями. Сам видел у знакомого в тепличке. К тому же, есть несколько сортов Сансевиерии которые сохраняют окраску при размножении листьями. Например: * Sansevieria Silver Queen * Sansevieria Silver Princess * Sansevieria Hahnii * Sansevieria Nelsonii * Sansevieria Cylindrica

The snake plant with yellow stripes is a chimera. It means that the specific variation in color can be replicated only with the division of the original plant at a root level. If you cut the leaves and plant them in soil, as it's shown in the tutorial, a new plant will grow but it will be (and it will rest) totally green without any yellow variegation. In conclusion, the snake plants you see at the end of the video (with yellow variegations) are not the ones she grows in the first part (totally green).

True. trifasciata cultivars cannot be replicated by leaf cuttings, the variegations on them will not be carried over.

Что бы сортовая сансевиерия сохранила свой окрас нужно вырезать у листочка П образную ножку....(вырезать в середине зеленую часть, а П образную ножку из желтого цвета оставить и посадить в грунт только желтую П образную ножку)

Gracias por tu comentario. Yo uso tierra de jardín mezclada con ceniza y puedes hacerlo en cualquier época del año. Las hojas recién cortadas deben guardarse en un lugar sombreado.

Hola estas en todo lo cierto yo quede esperando q explicará todo eso ya q es importante para los q estamos empezando en esto de la jardinería además no se ve si las macetas donde colocó los cortes tienen drenaje cada cuanto se debe regar luego de haberlas cortado no dice si deben estar en sombra y cuanto tiempo pasó para ver los resultados :'(

@@gabiguia4153 Recuerda que este tipo de plantas no requieren mucho riego, ya que ellas almacenan agua, dependiendo del clima, se riegan una vez a la semana ó 2 ó hasta 3 semanas cuando hace frio.

Last part of video shows other plants, not grown from cuts of leaves. It' almost impossible to get variegated sprout from leaf.

You will only get the original plant color from cuttings as these are hybrids. The only way to get identical coloration is to plant the tubers/divisions that come off the leaves naturally from underground.😁💚🌵🌱

It might be different plant in the but but this method of propogation is true…. I have done that…. But in water …you just have to keep the cut out of the leaves in water and occasionally change the water….the part dip inside water will grown roots and baby sapling in around a month…then you can pot it Also season matter

The don’t need a lot of water. Let them dry in-between waterings, don’t over water!

Таким способом можно получить сансивиерию зейланика, а не лауренти. В итоге вырастут дочерние растения, но они будут без желтой каймы, а просто пестро-зеленые. Не вводите в заблуждение зрителей. А в остальном-все прекрасно.

Wollymolli . Yo puse esa plantación por hojas cortadas y brotaron a los 5 meses , de 7 trozos brotaron 11 brotes y ahora con 18 meses las hojas miden 15 - 2o centímetros son sanas y bonita pero no tienen el rayado de las hojas que plante . Personas conocidas me dicen que con dos años y las hojas con 50 centímetros continúa con su berde oscuro . También son bonitas y agradecidas , pero que no engañen a los aficionados 🤨🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👋

Random mention for warmth, like top of fridge….if you’re careful, setting cuttings on top of the DVR cable box is a nice warm spot. I sprouted lemon seeds in a ziploc on there once. 😊

Về phần nhân giống theo cách này là đúng(ngâm trong nước và thay nước sau vài ngày 1 lần)...cây nhân giống theo cách này chiếc lá của chúng ko còn những sọc viền nữa..vì chúng là loại lai...cây sẽ trở lại dạng giống gốc của chúng

It really depends how long it takes. I did this last year to an old ugly leaf in my plant and made 4 pieces. One of them didn't take long at all and I gave it to my mother (with the bit of leaf the pup grew from) last year, the other 3 haven't grown pups yet, but are rooting nicely and one looks like it should have a pup soon. Just so you know I don't live in a really warm area, but in western Washington, so I think that it might be different in a warmer region. You don't really need a pot with holes in the bottom because they don't need that much water, I just water a little and only when the dirt feels dry. My large one does have holes in the pot, but I never water it enough for the water to make it to the holes. My large one even bloomed on year, the flowers smell really nice.

Lo felicito, recorrí varios tutoriales para hacer planta de sancibiera, a pesar que el me video no es hablado, es excelente su forma de enseñar a hacer las plantas plantas a partir de una hoja, muchas gracias, seguiré su canal y lo recomendsre. Me gustaría saber como hacer una planta de menta negrs, es algo muy extraño, mi mamá me regalo una planta en macetero y estaba hermosa, mi mamá falleció 2014 y la planta se seco 2018 y he comprado plantas hermosas, como 5 veces y todas se secan, gracias y usted saludos. Ahhhh, vivo en departamento por el tema de las plantas.

This gives the impression that the cut Sansevieria leaves with cream colored margins will reproduce true to form. Each cut leaf must have a portion of the rhizome?

I don't think they will reproduce yellow margin snake plants with leaf propagation. End result is completely new plant.
