Great review! I just picked up this set. Just a note: hot pressed is actually smoother and less texture/tooth and cold press is textured/toothed then there rough paper which has ever more texture/tooth then cold press

Nothing wrong with cotman and I too use Canson XL and have that expensive stuff I am terrified to mess up;)

It’s so hard to want to dive in and use he expensive stuff when you don’t already have like a clear idea of what you want your illustration to be. I always tend to just start drawing and see where it goes and when the paper is that nice it’s so easy to hesitate

It would be so useful if it were possible to buy extra 4 pan cartridges to fit in the side space if you buy extra colours. I'm having to blu tack extra colours into the side area. I don't know if I have a more recent design (it doesn't have the blue part on the box - instead that's white) but mine is very hard to open.

Im sure they have updated some designs I posted this a few years ago now. So it wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve made some changes.

I just wanted to let you know that you have the word Canton instead of cotman in the title. Good unboxing though! I've been thinking of getting these for a while. They seem like a more professional looking version of a student grade paint than the sakura kois I have now. I love the packaging. Thanks so much for the video!

I have noticed some slight movement in mine but I haven’t had any major issues with the case I still use it and have it, it’s one of two sets that I use
