Ever wondered why is Sri Japji Sahib so highly regarded in Sikhi? In this katha, we explore the greatness of this amazing bani (prayer) by going through the history of Sri Japji Sahib, the Mool Mantar, and the role that Bhai Lehna Ji played in the composition of this bani.
We will also discuss how powerful and incredible Sri Japji Sahib is through many historical accounts, known as Sakhis.
Sri Japji Sahib is the first bani in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, delivered to us by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This bani gives us Braham Gyan, spiritual wisdom to help us experience and merge into Vaheguru Ji. It is recited daily as part of the morning Nitnem (daily prayers) and can also be recited at any time during the day.
In this new English Katha series, we will be going through the translation and meanings of Sri Japji Sahib. We will reflect upon the translations of each stanza (pauri) and how this wisdom has changed the lives of many people, and how this can be applied to our lives.
