My favorite Costa Rican fast food chain (I'm a tico) was founded and still has its main restaurant in downtown Grecia: Los Pira. The main elementary school, the Simón Bolívar Elementary School. Grecia is a really prosperous, awesome city, which seems is starting to attract a lot of industrial development in its southern districts. Additionally, at Tacares there is a small campus from the University of Costa Rica. The northern districts, with green mountains that hike all the way up to Poás volcano, are really nice. And the main parish church, at downtown Grecia... though it is not the only metallic church in Costa Rica, is probably the first and the biggest of them.

Basic plate, called "Casado" Rice, Beans, Vegies, with fish, Beef, or chicken is about $7.00-8.50USD

@@aboutcostarica 1983 to 2009. When I first arrived I thought I landed in heaven, homes were open and free, people walking by at night no fear of criminals chapulines,(juvenile criminals) used by adult criminals because juveniles can not be jailed. By the time I left every house was wrapped in Barbwire and wrought iron all over the windows. Some houses have Constantine wire on the roofs. Criminals have more rights than citizens. When did you arrive?

Criminals have a free ticket, police have no clue, no willing for the reason the courts are setting free the criminals again and again. Its happening all over the world not just in Costa Rica. Now in El Salvador things have changed, people start to wake up.This is what we need at more places.
