We land in skiathos and walk into the main town

Thanks Pete and Chelle. Just sat at our hotel planning our route back to the airport from Troulos. Going to crack the walk to the airport thanks to your reassurance , James & Anja xx

Hello James and Anja.we are so jealous that you both are on the island of SKIATHOS haha One of our favourite places in the world. assuming you mean bus from Troulos to the town and then walk to the airport in the same way we did then yeah go for it 👍

As long as you keep the sea to ur right , get to the end of the road where runway is then keep the runway to ur right u can’t go wrong x

I’ve been visiting Parga in Greece the last couple of years and we love it but want to explore something different the beauty of Parga is everything is on your doorstep from beaches to bars and restaurants. I’ve come across Skiathos and it looks amazing any tips on where to stay as a base that is close to a sandy beach with good amenities such as shops bars and restaurants 😊

Hi mags , as skiathos is a small island and easy to get around , we do like to stay in the town , or around meglia ammos area , there is also Troulos ( bus stop 19/20) or koukanaries with is furthest away from airport and town bus (stop 24/26 ) There’s Kanapitsa vromonilis area which is also as nice as,, Tbh all of skiathos is nice and has its own bit of character and charm but we do like to venture along to the different stops , many of them walkable from reach other or a short bus ride ,, what we done on our first visit was take a bus right to koukanaries and had a little wander round there but tbh it wasn’t for us ,, we took the bus back to number 4 which is meglia ammos and we do like this area , it’s easy to get to town from here too ,, all we suggest Is look at the map , familiarise where the bus stops are and what’s around the at location and explore , using our videos as a guide 😃 We will answer all questions and queries 🤗

@@petenchelleukThank you for your detailed response can I ask what time do the buses run to as that will be our mode of transport 😊 On a side note if you guys have never been to Parga Greece definitely worth a look its an amazing place very unique 😊

It’s not far into town but a dangerous walk, no pavements for a lot of it, only 3 euros by bus in September 23

It's an interesting walk Steve, you just have to keep your eyes open at all times when walking as yes no pavement, bus or taxi you can choose but we enjoy the walk

A lot of skiathos is path free but it’s walkable

at the edge of the roads, the "brown" grass looks to me like grass "burned" by round-up. Very common in greece, lazy tourist-hunters dont bother to landscape and remove weeds by liberal straying with pesticides. Good luck in your vacations :) :) :)
