But on the other side, you are out of touch too. If subscriptions-strategy doesn't work, why a lot of companies use this strategy and earn more money? "mindlessly buy whatever they're trying to sell", of course not everyone will do that, but think about that even if 1% of their viewers will accept subscription it is still will be a HUGE WIN.
