O Ross Daly με λαύτα που έχει κατασκευάσει ο Δημήτρης Ραπακούσιος και έχει μεταλλικές χορδές παίζει το "νενέ μου" που αποδιδέται συνθετικά στον Γιώργο Κουτσουρέλη.
Το κούρδισμα με το οποίο ο Ross Daly παιζει το "νενέ μου" ειναι Λα (a) - Ρε (d) - Σολ (g) - Ντο (c).
Η λαφτα αυτη με τις μεταλικες χορδες πωλείται και είναι ετοιμοπαράδοτη στο κατάστημα Νίκος Ξυλούρης εντός του Μουσείου Ελληνικών λαικών μουσικών οργάνων που βρίσκεται στην οδό Διογένους 1-3 στους Αέρηδες-Πλάκα

Beautiful! Is Ross playing with a thin guitar pick or a sazi pick?

he seems to be playing with a guitar pick, which is not typical with lavta. Maybe that' s why the sound is also not the typical mellow, ud-like sound that you usually get from lavta. Also, the description of the video says in greek that this particular instrument has metallic strings, which is a bit perplexing, since I think that lavtas do have metallic strings, except for the bottom (high pitch) ones. Beautiful playing in any case, and he made it sound like a standard "cretan" instrument, the song he is playing is part of the cretan musical tradition. Great musician
