Green Day is back with a new album (Father Of All Motherfuckers) released yesterday. This song caught my attention at first listen so I had to make this cover. Hope you enjoy it! This is the first cover I worked a lot with panning the sound because of the way it is panned in the studio version, I hope you enjoy it and doesn't get way to confused.

Haha yes, I do these covers partly to keep improving my skill to figure out stuff by ear and learning them before the tabs and other cover videos are out gives me some extra motivation.

Thank you! Nah, tbh I suck at music theory overall and just manage my way through the music world by ear. The lead part is pretty straight forward though apart from a couple whole step bends! I realise I sort of messed up the panning a little bit which adds a bit confusion to it

how can you be sure about the Eb tuning?

You can use it for any standard tuning song tbh! You basically just play everything one fret higher if you want the same chords as in standard tuning. I did it to get a slight tone difference and was also able to use the same chord shape throughout the song that way.

Late answer but it's called lead guitar :D In many cases the vocals follow the lead guitar in atleast the chorus. Listen to the original, it is there aswell
