I can say with confidence that, in my almost 40 years of existence, this specific cover is the only song so far that i get chills and get emotional each time i hear it as if it was my first time hearing it. This is truly the most beautiful cover of this song I've ever heard. Your blending and harmonies are so ethereal and absolutely delicious. It was never my favorite Coldplay song...and this might sound crazy, but a couple of years ago I realized it's the purrfect tribute to my little old kitty, who had the most beautiful green eyes, and saved my life on more than one occasion...he was with me for 11 years, he was at least 15 and passed away 3 days ago. I know it sounds ridiculous to a lot of people, but he really was my rock and lightened my load for a lot of years...and I only found this video because I was looking for versions of that song that could help me through my grief, and I want you to know that this is one of my favorites and it means so much to me. Please never stop making music, it's heavenly and you just never know how much of a positive impact you could be having on others by sharing your gifts. Thank you so much

These comments came at exactly the right time, because just last week I somehow got triggered into the grief all over again, I'd been fine for a while even though it was always in the back of my mind, but this week and last week have been SO hard for some reason and it's been what, a year and a half now? I'm still crying as if it was yesterday too! I have two new cats and I love them to death too, but no one replaces another, there was something so special about my first kitty. Thank you for sharing with me, I'm actually surprised there's someone else out there who thinks of the same thing with this song. Thank you for validating what many people don't understand, and with perfect timing!

This song is my favourite love song of all time on the entire planet ever because it is honest without being overbearing, simple without lacking depth, romantic without being cheesy and profoundly moving without trying too much. It's funny because "Green Eyes" is my favorite song right now. I used to listen to him all the time when I was a child with my dad and I listen to him again all the time since a week or two. And coincidentally, Chase picks up that song. You have the gift to take back all the songs I love, all my childhood and adolescence through every piece (Coldplay, Radiohead, Muse, Linkin Park, The Lumineers and many others). And today that I'm an adult, I can only love the small dose of melancholy and sensitivity that you add to these songs. Thank You Chase Eagleson. #frenchfan 🇲🇫

This reminds me of the Avett Brothers singing 10000 Words next to their tin shed. The chirping insects in the background added the perfect element for the Avetts. And it’s just as amazing in yours. Beautiful guys, it really is.

Green Eyes was one of the first songs that I ever learned to play on the guitar, painstakingly trying to wrap my head around it with the very few chords that I knew, desperately trying to figure out how to transpose it to a key that I could sing and play in with my very limited, self-taught musical knowledge. It's covers like this that continue to give me the courage to pick up my guitar - not because I want to 'get good', but for the pure joy and peace that playing music gives to the soul.
