Hello Eric, I am a 62 year old man living in England. Recently retired I have fulfilled an ambition and I have bought a Bass guitar. I am a complete novice, never having actually picked up a Bass before. My nephew who is a qualified guitar teacher is giving me lessons, but I also happened upon your channel. This tune is part of my youth, having watched it a few times I copied the tabulature and I am pleased to say that after an initial struggle I have it mastered. This is the second Bass Line which I ever "felt". I mean "felt"? It is however, the very first Bass Line which I ever learned ('67). That said, I had no idea until about 5 minutes ago (Wikipedia), that it was originally played by a "dude" named Donald "Duck" Dunn (RIP). Thank you Eric Blackmon. Sincerely. I owe you big time pal. Green Onions was the first record that I played over and over (many, many years ago). Such an apparently simple bass line, yet I still struggle to get the timing and shifting right. Makes me appreciate what a great bass player Donald Duck Dunn was. (Although Duck didn't originally compose the bass line, he's the one I always remember playing it.)

Finally, someone who plays it like Duck. Nice job!
