In the middle of the night, with a police escort, 4 prime movers hauled 2 trailers with 12 axels each, on a 61 km 5-hour journey to deliver a 326-tonne transformer to our Greenbank Large Scale Battery Connection Project.
The transformer will enable the energy stored in the Greenbank battery energy storage system (BESS) to be transferred, converted and delivered to households across South-East Queensland.
This is a critical part of connecting Queenslanders to a world-class energy future, and ensuring a reliable and stable electricity network during periods of peak demand.
