Totally hacking. Every time you were hit you kept your cape. Flying in a weird style as well. Disappointing that it's not a true speed run.

Apparently you've never played this game, or at least not to a serious extent.

Hey Katie! I know it's been a year since you commented this, but I wanted to clear some things up for you since it seems that you've been unfortunately misinformed. If you ever see Mario fly into an enemy and not take damage (like at 23:07), that's normal! In the community, we call this a "cape cancel" and it can be used instead of the classic damage boost in order to keep cape. When you do this though, you do lose flight. I'm not exactly sure what flying you were referring to as weird, but if it is the thing at 15:54, this kind of glitchy flight can be achieved by dismounting Yoshi while flying against a ceiling. This is called "Yoshi Fly", and is done to save a small amount of time over simply running forward with Yoshi. GreenDeathFlavor is a highly respected member of our community, and has been achieving excellently executed speedruns for many years. Hopefully this helped clear things up a bit and if you have any further questions, please let me know. -Bramz (Michael) Source: I have been speedrunning Super Mario World since 2014 and am currently a leaderboard moderator in charge of verifying the legitimacy of speedruns.
