Thanks Simon!!! I started applying this product a few times per season a few years back, and everyone has complimented my lawn and how Deep Green it gets. I'm waiting on my soil test results to get back to me and then I'll start applying some other products to get this lawn really popping!!!

Thanks for the comment @bulbisaur685. This Southern Ag Liquid Iron is the chelated iron and with the added sulfer, doing an application will Green things up quick. Doing both Liquid Iron and the milorganite the same day really looks good. Maybe I'll do that again in a few weeks.

Greg B, I don't have one specific fertilizer I recommend and I can't recall a season where I put the exact same fertilizer down one season to another. I've never used liquid fertilizers but I may need to try a couple out this season.

This iron will definitely stain your patio area/ driveway, etc, so use with caution and don't apply on a windy day to prevent overspray.

Zalo A I have a mix of rye and bluegrass with some fine fescue mixed in.

@@SOMETHINGWITHSETH don't get the 2.5. My yard is 2500 sq ft and I bought the 4gal I just only fill up 2.5 gallons. It's better to have more room just incase you need it

Excellent question. 4oz per gallon of water will cover 500 sq ft. You could go 6 oz per gallon for a darker color and be fine.

You can use the Wal-Mart Expert fert but it will provide more Nitrogen than the milo and it is more of a synthetic fertilizer than a natural fertilizer. I have never personally used that product but fertilizer is basically fertilizer when applied at the bag rate. With that said, I have used the 10/10/10 from Walmart. In my experience, the only draw back to that product is the prill size and able to get a consistent application. Try them if you're wanting to cut costs and you'll definitely see results.

@@SOMETHINGWITHSETH Yeah, im ok with that. I just wanted to stay away from anything with pfas in it esp since we have well water and little kids. What I did is do a soil test to figure out what my grass needs and then apply based on fert calculators. Lets me know exactly how much npk to put down.

You'll have the beat results applying liquid iron when the temps are below 90 degrees, usually in the spring or fall.

You can applylater in the day if temps will be in the 90s but I try and look at the forecast and apply it when we'll have a stretch of temps in the 80s. Just preference of mine but you can certainly apply when temps are in the 90s early in the morning or later on in the day as you stated. Thanks for the question. I really appreciate it.

Depends on turf type

Hi Gina, you'll want the iron to absorb and fully dry after applying to the turf so you don't want to water after applying. 8 to 12 hours should be enough time for this to happen. Thanks for question.

You can apply the liquid iron every 3 or 4 weeks but just don't apply it if temperatures will be above 90 degrees and don't apply to a dormant lawn.

Any iron will stain concrete to some extent. The iron sucrose is the iron that is " guaranteed not to stain" which is why Scott's Green max switched to iron sucrose instead on chelated iron several years back. Anytime applying iron, just use caution.
