Tavis Smiley is an excellent interviewer. He asks good questions, then lets the guest answer fully. Dwight never disappoints, either.

I've been a fan of DW's music since first hearing him. Given his stage persona I would have never guessed how modest, charming, and articulate he is. Glad he's back to making music; he's aged well and he's one of a kind.

Oh no, no, no Dwight! You should NEVER have been a 'staff song writer" for anybody! NOBODY ELSE could ever do justice to what you write bc your heart and soul are in the lyrics, the music, the vocals, and the style of everything you do! Thank God you went West Coast!

I JUST LOVE TO HIM DO AN INTERVIEW. HE IS SO OPEN AND EXPLAINS WHAT HE MEANS SO WELL. HE NEVER SEEMS NERVOUS OR UPPITY.

One of the best interviewer ever! Tavis Smily! So laid back and his questions lead his guest to speak spontaneously that seemed like hours. Thoroughly enthralled with Dwight Yoakam. Who knew he was so funny and intelligent? Gah, never would have guessed and I can see why he such a prolific song writter, he never shuts up, I mean his tales lead on to others, etc. etc. Love his stage presence. I think he secretly took some of Elvis' moves, Elvis before he was censored. Really enjoyed this!

I'm addicted to his voice, He did ". Bakersfield with Buck Owens. What is his connection with Mexican norteno music? His music has a new norteño twist on it. He is definitely how country music should sounds like.
