I love this project. Mama in law has a shed that she is getting rid of. It's covering is cheap press board, but the frame is made of decent 2 X 4 wood. When the weather here in Texas cools off a bit more, I will be tearing the old covering off, and deconstructing the frame. The sections of the frame will go onto a flat trailer and transported to my house, where i will rebuild it and then cover it with the 6mil plastic. Thank you for the ideas.

This probably sounds silly but is there a way of switching the Paraffin heater off

Hello Keith. Not a silly question and I have discussed it since. It's simply a case of winding the wick down into the housing until it extinguishes. If it still flickers you can blow it out. Hope this answers your questions. AJ

Hi, is the greenhouse made with glass panels? thanks

Hi Molly. Yes it is a glass greenhouse. But I also line it with bubble wrap for extra warmth. Thanks for asking, AJ

Tried the heater, everything went black including the glass! Can’t seem to get the flame right, any tips? Cheers

Hi Jason. That sounds like either an issue with the wick or the fuel. You don't say if your heater is new or not. I would make sure that the wick is cleaned and wound right down into the burner. Raise it to light it and then wind it right down until you have a small steady orange /yellow flame with no smoke or rapid flickering. Place the flu/chimney on top, give it a minute or two to settle and then readjust the flame if necessary. With these types of heaters "less is more" is the phrase to remember. Also make sure that you are using the recommended fuel.... Paraffin or Kerosene. Good luck cleaning up bud. It's frustrating I know as I did it myself. AJ

@@TheLifesGood thanks for the reply, the heater is second hand and didnt contain any old fuel, i bought 2 tubs of paraffin from B&Q, and just put 2 new wicks in it as its a double burner, ill try again but it does flicker then go out, very frustrating and time consuming, this is our first greenhouse so trial and error!

@@jasonmiles5043 in that case you may not have let the wicks soak long enough before lighting. Also check for draughts. It's surprising how low you set the wicks after they have been lit.
