Both pole are important however the Antarctic is melting at a slow rate & each pole effects the hemisphere there in but this does have an effect on the Antarctic in the form of warm water cycling there. The northern hemisphere will have more extreme weather for maybe 30 to 50 yrs longer then the southern hemisphere.

For instance, 2 years ago, under severe restrictions and after 20 years, a company finally got a water desalinization plant to get running. They turn salt water into fresh water and sell the salt too. The day before opening California went up to them and mandates they run the pipe going into the ocean to be many feet deepr=the third time they pulled that same stunt on the company, just to stop new fresh water from coming in. that way they can scream global warming water shortage and take away your rights.The real reason they are running out of water is that the population is increasing so uch there is way more use of water.
