I have the Kobalt 80v 18" chainsaw that is made by the Greenworks Company and I love it... It is heavy also but it cuts like a beast... So much easier than farting around with the pull start!!! I also have the Kobalt 24v 14" chainsaw that is super light and better for pruning and smaller jobs... My 55+ year old back likes it also... lol This one is made by Chervon (who makes the whole 24v MAX line for Lowe's)!!! Love your humor and adventures, keep up the good work!!! ✌️😎🎸

YES! This marks the first video review of the so-called X-Range version, the only Greenworks Pro 18-inch chainsaw, of any voltage, with a 2.5-kilowatt motor. The other 18s (69V and 80V) are 2.0 kW. It also has a magnesium housing. I bought the first run, sold bare (without battery and charger) directly from Greenworks. I've barely used itm but I let a skeptical, 56-ish tree guy try it out and he was blown away. I watched as he cut up a fallen 24-inch trunk. Boy, did it throw chips. Thw tree guy used my three the 5.0AH X-Range batteries, which are a cut above the standard 5AH battery that came with your saw. They never cut out or stalled. Greenworks Pro sells a 16-inch chainsaw with a 2.5KW motor, in 60V and 80V. Greenworks Commercial sells three 82V chainsaws: 16-inch, 2.4 KW; 18-inch, 2.7 KW; and 20-inch (with an 18-inch bar also included), 3.4 KW.

I bought the first Xrange as well. (I think we've talked before). But I run the 8ah Xrange batteries and yes it's very heavy. I was just on Greenworks site yesterday and they show a 60v Xrange saw with a 20" bar that comes with the 8ah battery and charger and it claims in the description that it's 3.2kw of power. I do believe mine is the 2.5kw, because the model number is 60CS25. You can get the 3.4kw 82v kit from Greenworks commercial right now for $599. But it's only a 4ah battery. When I got my saw, I think they were discontinuing the model because I got the saw, two 8ah batteries and the 10amp dual bay charger (simultaneous charging) all for around $700. I agree with you though, I don't run it very much. I prefer my 40v Greenworks. It's lighter and might be a bit slower but still cuts great. I think I promised you a video... I still want to make a short video demo-ing the cutting speeds of the 40v, 60v, and 80v.

That saw looks great. I was thinking bout getting one but I don't have a recurring use for a saw. I think I'll just rent one from a local hardware store.

Greenworks doesn't make a 16" xrange. They have a 16" 60v, but is not made nearly as good as this one you currently have.

You would get a better idea, if you were not cutting twigs, mine brings down big trees, easily

I did a big tree once... got 3/4 of the way through 1 cut and had to go grab the gas saw. Also cut a 1/2 load of pine for our fire pit... a hijet load... ended up switching to the gas saw because... again.. dead battery. Have since sold this saw and gone back to gas. If I'm cutting anything more than a 6 inch diameter tree I get the gas saw out. If I'm limping for the chipper the 20v dewalt chainsaw out lasts this saw, weighs less, and is more portable than the greenworks. I didn't find a single situation where this particular saw was better than a gas or cheaper electric.
