Part of it is that BBC is not allowed to hand out cash or extravagant non-cash prizes, so many shows that would have otherwise been competitions/quiz shows end up just having comediants being in them for the laughs rather than members of the public.

@@blackeyedsusan727 Worse yet, it'd be hosted by a cavalcade of moronic b-list "comedians", actors, and lame talkshow hosts, and be about as entertaining as a getting a root canal. It could be done and even done well in America, but it wouldn't be because the producers for most AmerIcan TV are too busy snorting blow off of hookers' backsides to make good content and marketing tells them they have to cater to the lowest common denominator.

@@krs9748 Was there? I've never even heard of it. Looking it up, it seems to have been a Comedy Central endeavor. It seems Reggie Watts was the task master and Alex Horne was assistant. Looking over the panelists, it looks like it could have had some potential. I like Reggie but I don't think he'd have the same kind of looming vibe as Greg Davies that makes for a good task master, though. Comedy Central also has a poor track record for keeping decent shows on the air, so no surprise there that it only lasted a season. I'd also imagine Alex probably didn't have time to continue putting into the show, since he was also doing the UK original.

100% agree with Greg! I saw Willow in the theater when I was in 2nd grade (like 8-9YO), and Joanne Whalley as Sorsha was my first crush. When she changes alliances and hoists Madmartigan from the ground by his baldric to kiss him... Lifetime passions for strong, fierce women are formed in scenes like that.

To me their relationship comes across as a guy that's found himself with one friend, maybe he sacrificed his social life for his career, and ended up with a really annoying friend but that's all he has so he's stuck with it.

The fave noise question is amazing! Everybody has a fave noise and it's something to really think of! I have two....the sound of a bong bubbling(it's just a real soothing noise) and old school Lara croft saying "no". It's a fab "no"....it has the sass of "are you fucking serious trying this right now" mixed with "fuck off you pleb"
