Some of the most beautiful ensemble group playing I have ever heard. Each cat is kicking ass but still tight and together, never losing the group thrust, motion, balance and energy. But most of all I can feel love and joy you all are putting out together. Superlative performance!

Love this group but I heard the original version “ Live” on WRVR in the 70’s. Tony Williams “ LifeTime” .... Tony, Allan Pasqua on keys, Tony Newton on bass, Allan Holdsworth on guitar. Phenomenal! Holdsworth & Pasqua had a group with Chad Wackerman on drums, Jimmy Haslip of Yellow Jackets on bass. Great music !

Listening to this, and then listening to the Lifetime version , it's like two different songs. But in a good way. each has it's own identity. This one flows and is more fluid. The Lifetime version is like a steady, groovin' and heavy as hell. Great artists on both versions.

Greg Howe, Hendrix/Holdsworth mix...maybe, I really like the lead guitar execution and the acting. Great bass and drum rhythm section, keyboards work well also. Miss Jimi and Allan, hope to hear more from Greg!

AH in the heaven must have been proud - RIP Allan, I cannot believe you passed away already 3 years ago (4/15/2017). Ps) good to see a Yamaha SY99 synthesizer, from 1991(?) too.

greg´s studio interpretation is awesome, but this one wasnt even close...i think he didnt even played over the right chords hahaha

@@jimmessina Notes are there, but yeah it's way too Rushed/Mindless for being Howe.. Not the easiest track to jam on tho, it's got couple of strange chromatic moments in the end.

@@kcorpora1 Ofc I do enjoy/value it, but I talk from experience, it's not the easiest track to improvise on, and It's possible Howe wasn't too much "in the zone" in that moment. The Piano solos are absolutely Incredible otoh..

This comment section summed up: "I am a boomer, I can't handle change, or people having musical freedom. This is blasphemy and no-one is as good as me or my idols. Why?" And then a bunch of bullshit reasons. For example, "the original is more musical." The fuck does that even mean?
