The Gibson Les Paul has long been an archetype of excellence in the guitar industry. Titans have wielded the LP for generations, and still they hold a tone and character unmatched -- thick, rich harmonics, evenly compressed, yet still very expressive.
Over the years, Greg Koch has had (a not so secret) love affair with the Les Paul. Every time we present one to him for a video he is overjoyed, and it's noticeable in his playing. Les Paul's bring Greg joy, and it's quite often reflected in the video. When he can't put down a guitar, you know it's good. After literally thousands of videos, trust when Greg says a guitar is good. And how often does he say a Les Paul is good? - almost every time.

Never seen anyone even remotely close to having this level of technique in as many different styles as this. Greg really is in a division of his own.

I hate to say this.... I really dig the p90 'gristle master' and your signature amp... but HOT DAMN it man... you absolutely sound SAVAGE with a LP/ marshall(FRIEDMAN)....

20000 hours couldn't get me to do that. Cheers man I wish I could afford a cheap acoustic to practice on but lately I just can't. I wish I could play 1/8 as good

Of course he can make a swineola sound glorious and is known for Tele strangling...however I prefer his Lester antics...and gristly tones.
