Check out Jeff's progressive metal band Cosmosquad, 8 solo albums..... Also Mogg /Way 'Chocolate Box' including 3 original UFO members. In addition Jeff has a fusion group with Chad Smith (Chili Peppers) called the Bombastic Meatbats with two studio records and a live one. Shall I go on ?? Deep Purple famed Glenn Hughes 'Songs In The Of Rock'. Thank you, Ayres Rock Management.

Players like this, are mainly for other players enthusiasts, and serious music lovers. Not the average everyday music consumer. They arent “unknown” theyre just a niche player, with a niche market. 3 chords and a catchy chorus and a beat, thats all most average music consumers care about. Whats the old saying, about a jazz player and a rockstar? The jazz player will play 10,000 notes for 10 people the rockstar plays 10 notes to 10,000 people. Or something like that.. Theres a lot of truth behind it. Even I, as a blues player and enthusiast, get tired of the solo after solo sometimes. Even I just want to hear a good 3 chord tune with good lyrics and a good beat. Less is more sometimes. Even though I LOVE BOTH!

I like the fact thet everyone is surprised at how good Jeff Kollman is! He's an amazing player, one of the greats, but he's not so well known, although he played with a lot of amazing musicians as a session guitarrist over the last 2 decades or so. I love his style since the first time I heard him play with Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats. Deffinitly one of my absolute favorite guitar players.

There’s a pedal called the Kollmanation handmade by Tim Jauernig. Long waiting list but not that long maybe 6-8 weeks. It’s better than the king of tone. I stupidly sold a silver one but got 2 back. Sold another one to a well known session guy. Anyway, as a pedal addict still do stupid things that was two of them but as I said got two back. One side’s a boost. with a bit of gain and one side is way more gain and they interact if you want. And they don’t cost a fortune especially for being handmade.

It's not a Hammond B3 but a modern clone - the SKX double manual organ - which for the most part sounds great because it's played by someone who's a terrific player and it's played through what appears to be either a Leslie 142 or 145.

If you've never heard Jeff, look for Cosmosquad, Jeff Kollman solo, Edwin Dare (early JKzona), MoogWay Band, The Meatbats, and Kevin Chown's solo album. He's toured with jazz and rock bands, done studio work and was/is a regular at the Baked Potato. Greg resides in my hometown and commits crimes of nature against guitars of all ages.

He killed it in Edwin Dare, slayed it with Mogg and Way in Chocolate Box, killed it solo, owned it with Cosmosquad, slams it with Chad Smith in Bombastic Meatbats, and then some.
