Great idea! Definitely will be stealing this UPDATE: So after work today I went and got the materials you used in this video to make some stands myself. Bro, they work perfect. And are very cost effective. Thanks so much for making this video

Greg,really love the creative and cost effective DIY figure stands you showed, thanks for the ideas for stands because the stands neca or other figure/toy companies have can be very expensive!!? So thanks so much for DIY figure stands, sincerely take care, Greg👍❤️🤔🤯🎨

You are a very likable cat. Years ago I collected transformers but eventually I sold them out of worry of "you need to grow out of this stuff", but years passed and I hadn't stopped watching unboxing and customs etc, and I got the urge again.. Being 37, I am and always will be a comic book fanatic, and I figured why am I depriving myself of a hobby I enjoy, so I'm collecting Marvel legends, Spawn and DC figures. And you being a cat that seems either around my age or older inspires me to not give up my hobby, (as long as my Bill's are paid, wife and daughter taken care of of course ;) )

@Gregcook my son uses your wire idea, but wraps the wire with green painters tape so that his picture editor can more easily spot it and erase that part so you just see the fig being posed! pretty cool for a teenager to come up with huh.

Great thinking for the tape trick your son engineered 👏....you can also us a magic marker or paint and color the wire stand is something I've done to help hide the wire stand

I think since I have cheap plastic shelves i could also screw the base down as well. This is a great idea because it has so much potential for modifications.
@shawnhull9988
@shawnhull9988 5 жыл бұрын
If you make a bigger loop for your base, those bigger figures will be more stable. Maybe use a can about twice the size. Just a hint to help.

I just recommended that idea for my son. It does sound great especially that it doesn’t have to be a circle, a square would work great securing all angles the action figure won’t tip over.

for flat bases for non flying or jumping seens i use crafters clay to make bases and the peg i barely push the figures foot into the clay to get a with and then i bake it at 275 degrees for 20 minutes and when its done i let it cool then i find out the depth of the figures foot hole adn shave the hard cooked clay peg to lentgh and paint it dry then i have my own custom bases works great i also use wire for flying scenes like good logan with hisclaws in dp
