If you don’t get an audience to care about your science they probably won’t listen. In this ‘Talking Science’ course video I uncover how you can hook their attention. // Get the free worksheet at www.gregfoot.com/youtubecourse
I’m Greg Foot, a Science Presenter on BBC TV & Radio plus various channels here on KZfaq, and this is the first ever KZfaq Course on Science Communication.
Over a series of 10 videos I introduce tips & techniques to help you talk with the public about anything from the world of science, technology, engineering and maths. The course has a focus on helping practising scientists communicate their work with non-experts, but I’ve written it to also be useful to anyone interested in science communication.

Scientists and mathematicians need to stop dumbing their ideas down. Those who want to understand us need to do the hard work of learning the language of math and science. Can you imagine how angry multilinguals would get if a monolingual in language X told them to speak only in X?
