Including a demo as part of your talk or video is a brilliant way to bring a science concept to life. In this ‘Talking Science’ course video I explore how to perform an engaging science demo. // To grab the free worksheet & top tips head to www.gregfoot.com/youtubecourse
I’m Greg Foot, a Science Presenter on BBC TV & Radio plus various channels here on KZfaq, and this is the first ever KZfaq Course on Science Communication.
Over a series of 10 videos I introduce tips & techniques to help you talk with the public about anything from the world of science, technology, engineering and maths. The course has a focus on helping practising scientists communicate their work with non-experts, but I’ve written it to also be useful to anyone interested in science communication.

This is a great series of videos! Any tips for doing explanations in the field? For example, I'm a botanist, and I love leading plant hikes, where I show people the fun and interesting plants in an area and ideally go into a little bit about what plants can tell us about the natural history of a landscape. I'm always looking for ways to improve that kind of in situ, immersive demonstration!
