Unfortunately the companies that get the drummers as endorsees need to be in bands that are very exposed in the media and such. Not downplaying Gregg at all, he's a superb drummer. Just saying he's not in a project at this time that is currently popular. Just my opinion.

Personally, I haven't had a chance to try Dixon drums yet, but I'd say they are going the same path as Mapex. Neither are companies with a long tradition, they don't have a recognizable brand like DW (Dollars Wasted), Sonor, Gretsch, Ludwig, Pearl, Tama, Yamaha, etc., although they make quality instruments at an affordable price. Personally, I really don't care what is written on the badge and I'm not afraid to try something different, and very often I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality and the sound. Interestingly, we as drummers too often buy with our eyes, instead of our ears. That’s a lesson I’ve learned over the years.

@@giuseppecasa3574 I honestly don't remember this comment, but the comment wasn't about the sound and build quality of the DW drums and hardware, it was about the price being excessive. Admittedly, lately all the prices have skyrocketed, so I'm not smart either. I'd probably buy some boutique drums for the price Collectors are selling
