What makes this even more beautiful is the fact that Sammy Davis Jr. was sick and certainly weak, but still loved what he did so much, he got up and danced. The show was taped November 13, 1989. I met a man who worked at the Riveria hotel in Las Vegas right before they closed. He told me that when Sammy would perform with the Rat Pack, he couldn't stay there, and he also had to come in through the Kitchen and not the front door.
