Growing up, my dad used to have this song on repeat in the car. His favorite song. He passed away in 2016 on his birthday. Coming to listen to this song brings me back to those car trips to the store or to pick my mom up from work. Miss you dad... Thanks for introducing me to such an amazing song, giving me your drive and showing me how to be a loving and compassionate person.

1987 was one of the BEST YEAR of my life. I was 23, and the world seemed to be at my feet. Sadly, I'm 60 now, and life has really defeated me in so many, many ways. Lost so, so many loved ones. As they say, the ones left behind are the ones that truly truly suffer. 😢 Some days, I feel like what's the point of living when all your loved ones are gone? Life isn't fulfilling like it used to be. I don't know anymore. I am blessed with a little Chihuahua though. Oh man, he has brought so much joy, happiness, fun and silliness back into my life. I thank God everyday for bringing Kona into my life. I love it that we spend 24/7 together!! Hes my pride and joy!! ❤❤

I fell in love with this song when first heard it at around the age of 12. I'm 48 and when I play this song, I feel like I am that young all over again. Always love this song when it first aired 1986. It's always been always about "tone" delivered by the melody and lyrics for me personally. And the appeal directed at the ideal woman appealed to and projected by the lyrics that resonated within me. Plua Gregory Abbott's delivery in the video augmented with the video production. Tears in my eyes, my parents would have such love in their eyes when they listened to this song....she passed in 1996 but, thank God for my dad...still here 77 yrs old. Edit: Fast forward 2 years and Lord willing I will celebrate my dad's 80th birthday in May and this song will be in rotation! APTTMH 💛
