@Yeo! It's Cori I know its been 8 months since you posted this.....wondering if ( like it takes 9 months before birth of a new life ) you are ok!! I know how you feel! And I too once had a long distance relationship. ....actually. ....a long distance marriage...me in Los Angeles and her in Denmark for the first year. Very trying especially after she finally moved to LA and had an affair with her boss....just after giving birth to my one and only Son. That hurt worse because I too had also walked away from the life I was leading in order to follow God! And it was an extremely rough ride! And it took years before I saw anything happen! But God knows what he's doing! He's not up there in Heaven scratching his head as if to say "What am I going to do with them?" When Moses left Egypt and into the backside of the desert.....( his "wilderness" )...it was quite a while before he heard directly from God. I'm convinced it's because Moses needed to get the "Egypt" out of him to be filled up with the Hebrew that he was all along. But he wasn't just some guy telling Pharoe to let his people go, because Moses once dwelled in high places in the palace and practically a brother to Ramsees....now Pharoe.....that was what gave Moses authority to enter the palace again. And to fulfill his life's purpose! This time in your life might be your "wilderness" in order to get the old you out and the new you in! When David was a lowly Shepherd and underestimated by his Father as to even be counted among his sons for being Annointed the new King must've not felt very good for David! And before Goliath.....he spent hours, days, months and years alone....yet not alone....it was there he heard from God and grew to trust God and be close with God....and spent his free time practicing hurdiling stones and boulders with a sling-shot....eventually with deadly precision.....and then he faced Goliath! And ultimately became King. There are so many Biblical stories of triumph over adversity that we love so much! Even the movie "Rocky" is one of those stories we love so much! But the adversity they faced prior to their triumph was no walk in the park either!! The Bible says "These present sufferings are not worthy to be compared to the Glory that shall be revealed in us" ......SHALL...not maybe! You will triumph over your current circumstances! And sometimes when it feels like your life has been turned upside down......it's actually God turning you right side up! It just doesn't "feel" that way! Feelings are not always the true indication of what's really going on!! What feels good.....might not necessarily be so good......and what feels bad might not necessarily be so bad!! How do we find out? God knows! He is the ultimate authority of Truth! Often I get pushed onto a different path than I chose....and hating every minute of it.....but once the dust settles....I find myself in a place much better than originally planned for!! Hang in there!! For every counterfeit dollar....there is a real dollar. Sometimes our lives have been seemingly in a good place.....so times like these that you're currently having seem cruel. But perhaps the joy you felt before was a counterfeit joy! And you are now on the path to real joy! God Bless You!!!
