You mean worth more than your GPU and CPU combined lol. Prolly get a used 2080 for $200 and that 1700 for $50 on ebay. Those fans for a 3 pack cost $160. Greg put six in there so that’s $350 (with tax). One fan costs as much as the CPU on ebay lol

The fact that nothing matched and everything worked should at least be celebrated! Industry standards instead of walled off gardens of incompatibility like a dell system or Apple is an amazing thing that should be continued. That being said I appreciate it was a massive sponsorship from corsair and the build did look sweet when you were done. The viewer wins, the channel wins, I am just glad the original pc could exist and function.

Learn to scrounge! I started off with an old I5 2400 DDR3 system a few years back that didn't even have a graphics card! Then I picked up a 750Ti for almost free. Then got a used 512G SSD to replace the spinning platter drive for helping a friend out. Went with that for a while while stockpiling parts, mostly from friends who I helped "upgrade" their stuff and didn't care about the old parts any more. A Ryzen5 2600 here, some DDR4 from there, an old 1060 graphics card... pretty soon I had almost everything I needed for my current rig, only shelling out $70 for a new AMD-compatible Gigabyte DS3H motherboard (ALL ROADS LEAD TO DS3H WHEN YOU ARE ON A BUDGET!) and $20 for a new/used case and some fans. Minus the sale of the old parts I have roughly ZERO DOLLARS in this rig. If I wanted fan/RGB bling I could drop some coin on it (even at Corsair's prices!) and still be way ahead money-wise now.

Just bought a used Lian Li Liancool ii Mesh Performance from a local guy who had recently moved to a mATX form factor. It was a local site auction and I snagged it for a whopping $39. Case is without a scratch...the original owner barely used it! Impressed with the materials and smart design of this case. Dual tempered glass hinged side panels, with hinged lower doors, both left and right. Plenty of air flow with dual 140's and 1x 120. I moved the 120 to the lower front position, for flow over the storage rack, then brought in an RGB 120 for the rear exhaust. The right side tempered glass does not reveal cables because the unit also comes with metal shrouds to cover all cable runs. Looks very neat, with minimal cable management needed.

If I remember it right the first gen Ryzen had problems even running 3200 RAM, a lot of ppl had to settle with 2933 back then, did the system really run that 4000 kit @4000? The build further looks pretty awesome. Too bad it's from Corsair since I had a bad time with their customer service back in the days I have avoided them like the plague.. untill today because I needed a cheap low profile RAM kit for an ITX build I'm going to make, those parts are coming in today and yea.. the Corsair LPX kit was the best choice, 36 Euro for a 2x8 gig kit, so I had to swallow my pride on that one.

Nice rebuild. I have the 7000D case and I decided to rebuild my computer for the first time in like 6 or 7 years. There was soo much room it was a pleasure to build in. I went with an EATX MB (MSI MEG ACE) but still had lots of room, however my cable management in the back is still not great as I rebuilt mine right before all these new fans etc.. came out and it would cost me too much to switch now. I will say though with this case (mine) it made the cable management form the front look fantastic and was the cleanest build I have ever done. On which is a bummer as I had pretty much an unlimited budget. One weird thing I ran into was the 7000D comes with the fan hub like the 5000D and 3 fans, 2 front one rear and I used that hub, but my commander pro that came with my Corsair AIO sees all the fans that came with the case as all one fan, so I'm thinking of ditching it but I think I only have 2 more slots on the commander as I added one more front fan and one more side fan for a total of 8 fans (oh I also went the non RGB route). How can you and can you, connect two commander pro's together? If so I might try that. Right now besides that everything is working great so not sure I want to go poking inside again, but maybe.

PC Function for price first Brand second.. I user Signal RGB to sync lights from all my brands. EVGA PS, Gigabyte MB and GPU, MSI Case, G.Skill Ram Works great and I look for the best FUNCTION / Prive I can get. Then I solved the only compatiblity issue ARGB with tool. One Brand might excell at RAM but not MB or GPU etc. Oh yes NZXT AIO :) But You did a great job and I will be looking at iCUE in a few years when its new build time.

Greg has convinced me to switch to the iCUE fan system, but would the magnet from the fan hub somehow mess with the components of the mobo if it was mounted right behind it?

Great work Greg! A very cool looking system. The only thing the owner should do is upgrade his CPU to at least a Ryzen 7 5700X and it will be perfect!

I'm curious why you put the fans in the side instead of the front as a direct intake. The fans on the side would be facing the back panel. I have this case and yes I know there is a small vent on the back for airflow but nothing close to what the front panel would offer. Was it to show off the back of the corsair fans?

Hey Greg, just went to watch the video and for some reason, it's like a good minute or so of the intro video footage got chopped which puts it way ahead of the audio - can see the iCue pelican case get opened at 0:22 but hear it opened all the way 1:46

Clogging?? I have had an H100i for like 6 years and no clogging at all and I just upgraded to an 170i ELITE CAPELLIX and is working great. one tip I heard was to set the pump on extreme and the fans on whatever you can live with because if you put the pump on variable it can fail as it has to ramp up and down all the time. Not sure if that is true or not but my H100i always had the pump on extreme and that what I set this pump to as well.
