Despite me being in this generation I have always had a love for old movies because of my grandfather, Gremlins by far is my favorite, I go to school and I sometimes ask, “Hey do any of you know Gremlins?” They always say, “no.” So I don’t care what it will end like, I love this movie franchise and whatever happens I’ll still watch it, and remember if your air conditioner goes on the fritz or your washing machine blows up or your video recorder conks out; before you call the repairman, turn on all the lights, check all the closets and cupboards, look under all the beds, 'cause you never can tell --there just might be a gremlin in your house.

There's definitely potential in a Gremlins 3. The thing that I like the most about this news is that's title Gremlins 3, so their not rebooting it or ignoring the sequels. So their off to a good start.

If there is going to be a Gremlins 3, I hope they don't do what a lot of people are doing with other movies that a crashing and burning bad. I loved the original Gremlins and I want that same madness back.

If it becomes a sequel, Gizmo must meet a respective dying finale. I could only imagine a scenario that challenges his senses to day and night times, much to the point where he may need a small snack but unawarely at midnight, thus his metamorphosis begins, yet he still retains all of his morals but experiences trouble balancing his own new actions/instincts. Billy and Gizmo would quickly recognize 1 another, still fight for the same cause. But an end resolution would either force Gizmo and/or Billy’s hand and/or result in a sad but respectful tragedy. Long and short is that so long as Gizmo keeps surviving INLESS Secrets of the Mogwai we’re somehow worked in, Gremlins are still potential threat to roam free and wreak humored havoc.

I would love to see Greamlins 3, with the return cast. My theory is Billy and Kate married with kids returning to their hometown Kingston Falls with Gizmo for Christmas, visiting Billy's mom (now a widow). Billy's kids accidentally spilled water on Gizmo, 6 of them escape. It's up to Billy and his family and neighbors from the original movie to once again battle against the Greamlins before they wreak havoc on Christmas Eve.

Gizmo was my favorite toy growing up. I finally bought the Medicom Gizmo prop. It looks so real I feel like I finally have a Mogwai. Another Gremlins movie is long overdue.

What a lot of people don't know is that another part of the reason Gremlins 3 didn't already happen by now is because the original director wanted the effects to not be all in CGI that and hand made which is far more expensive to do and time consuming. Conversely, there was rumors going around at comic cons that when the idea came up to make Gremlins 3 they wanted to kill off Gizmo and make it more "serious/scary." If there is any truth to that, in my opinion that would take away from what made Gremlins so cool to begin with. Stripe would be the main mascot going forward if there would be a mascot at that point. Anyways, it would still be nice to see Gremlins make a comeback and stay relevant for the next generations coming up. As another commenter said here, if they do this right, it may turn out great!

I'll do honestly if they are going to make a Gremlins 3 they cannot forget about the female gremlin because she never died in the second movie. Not only that I think it's better off that they go back to a smaller town instead of a bigger town or like a suburb of a large city for instance I live in LaGrange Illinois which is a suburb of Chicago. And I do agree it should be a little bit of a darker twist people trying to figure out if they should take out Gizmo or not but I also think that there should be at least one or two more this time or mogwise. Not only that let's say this small town and knows about the mogwise and a couple other people actually do have them as pets and one of them accidentally gets stripe. But this time have stripe be one of the heroes. Have it where he learned his lessons from the last two times and decides not to eat after midnight and decides this time to help Gizmo. I do think we should bring back all of the original cast if we can. Including the second movie. Not only that since it's going to be in the modern day world habit modern day technology have the Gremlins learn about Internet. And of course you have to have a gremlin sympathizer someone who's trying to save the Gremlins in the movie when everyone else is trying to capture and kill them. In fact what you should do is have at the end of the movie have the guy have a basement full of Gremlins and have the female gremlin as their new leader because she never died in the second movie.

Would love to see a darker tone with the 3rd movie along with the original designs. The new batches gremlin designs were ok I guess but kinda goofy the only one who looked badass was Mohawk. For the new villain gremlin design wise I’d like to see a stripe/mohawk hybrid 2 maliciously evil creatures in one body. For normal gremlin designs I’m thinking more of the original movie designs but maybe doing some different colours like somebody in the comments said like a tiger gremlin, one with different spots, one with a lot more spikes and spines, and maybe one that can adapt to water like an aquatic gremlin that sort of has a design like Manda which is a Godzilla creature a dragon who lives underwater. The mogwais are an interesting case though. People would want them to have unique designs each like new batch with their own personalities but a lot more serious. Maybe seeing an albino mogwai, an orange coloured one, tabby, calico etc.

I think they should go darker with the gremlins being more vicious rather than comedy. Making the movie more like a true horror movie.

If they do a Gemlins 3 then they have to use the concrete gremlin from the second movie as the starting point. That being said, I don't have hopes for a third Gremlins movie at all with today's modern "education" where all movies use exactly the same tricks and does everything the same way.

One thing they better not do in that movie is kill Gizmo off. Something like that would ruin the entire franchise.

So there's a book for the original Gremlins that gives the Mogwai backstory, where they come from, that they were a type of experiment that was supposed to be like Gizmo but so screwed up so the original ones sent out to different planets are good, but offspring are messed up. This is different though from the animated series (for those who have watched it). The book is very rare and very bizarre.

Hope they keep it dark like the fist film. Granted the 2nd was more light hearted. I hope they don’t continue down that road. Also they could have the gremlins go into a third form. Something bigger and more Grotesque. But the first film proved it can be a grown up movie without comedy. The problem is they don’t make movies like that anymore. And once you do down the comedy road. It rarely goes back to what it was.

I have for years thought it would be cool if there was a future where the gremlins get way outta hand to the point Gizmo is overwhelmed and has to force himself to become the enemy for a more even playing ground. Ultimately in the end giving his life to end any other chance of creating more Gremlins.
