Really appreciate this excellent talk by Gretchen Dieberkorn. I learned a great deal about Dieborkorn through this, saw many paintings I had not seen before, and really enjoyed Gretchen's personal and intimate account of her father, his work and her life with him.

My Aunt Loyce Easley was a wonderful artist in New Mexico...she greatly influenced and encouraged me to explore paintings in the late 60s that were evidence of contemporary and classical artistry- she studied with Diebenkorn when he came to Santa Fe leading edge-these personal revelations are a gift-thank you

Grand artiste !

Thank you, Gretchen, for this wonderful talk about your father and his amazing work. I love his art and find his images very beautiful and soothing. Your talk is a rich "language painting" of a great artist and father. Thanks, Gretchen! p.s. That story about how your father had Ben take the living room painting down so he could change something before Christmas dinner was funny! I also loved the story about how he dropped the gun at graduation. That probably saved his life!

Lovely paintings - I really liked the fluid blending of ideas returning and the variation of color as a kind of rythmic patterns and the atmosphere of a certain place. Strong, visual poetics

He's real quality, like Guston etc. He stands above Alex Katz and others. His drawing is superb and the zip, dynamism of texture and colour. They are works you can return to. Excellent presentation by his daughter. Delight. I only hope I can one day show next to him.
