Love me some semi-hollow Gretsch guitars. I’d never have picked one up a few years ago but I’ve just gotten wise to how good they sound. Now I need one.

Sweet! My 335 is 'walnut' color, with a 50's fat neck, it's my #1. Many moons ago I had a 1962 Gretsch CG, with double mutes and painted on F holes. Don't know why they did that, Chet liked it I guess. I liked that guitar but I was not smart enough to keep it. That one looks like something I may need in the rack!! Thanks Ben!! 8) --gary

I remember hearing him say he didn't care for the "pad" on the back. I didn't either, mine un-snapped, and I left it in the case. He was such a master he didn't need 'mutes', they were a pain in the butt anyway. The painted 'F' holes I think were for looks, they looked cheap. I only had mine for 2 years, in the early 70's. I just liked the Gibsons better....
