@@toddkes5890 That actually implies something rather unsettling. Either something came along and intentionally altered the code into its current state or it encountered some environmental factor so hostile and unexpected by its creators that it made adjustments to its own code in order to properly survive and became unrecognizable as a result. Which leads one to ask; What the hell did they encounter?

@@smatt9132 They encountered (or canonically, heard of) the Silent Ones aka the Shroud. They refer to them as "Unidentified Lifeform" powerful entities that could consume the galaxy

Imagine this scenario, a human four year old on the planet ecosystem nine runs up and greets you and then and this will be significant later. The first thing you noticed is that her dress looks an awful lot like it’s made out of the same nano machines that the is goo made out of that you’ve been trying to blow up the material that it’s made out of I mean she then says do you want to meet my mommy so you say yes you follow her and you find a mother goo when she says mommy mommy look who I brought and the mother goo tries to create a human head and then make it smile. What is your reaction?
