Summer is here and it’s time to get grilling. You eat food directly from these grills, so it makes sense that you should clean them right? Would you use dirty pots and pans to cook your food?

Great ideas, I use a commercial fryer degreeser to soak the grates. Also I use a good grill cleaner called "citrusafe" BBQ GRILL CLEANER. YOU CAN CLEAN IT COLD WITH GREAT RESULTS, also not expensive to get.

Why throw away the old flame covers, just because they’re not shiny and new does it mean that they don’t work as well any more?

I cleaned mine today before I saw this video. Never thought to use hose/pressure washer. I have electrical components because of the auto starter/igniter - So I’d be concerned to do that? I also soaked my grates AND used oven cleaner AND steel wool…and my grates still aren’t back to shiny (they are not cast iron).
