I noticed most early PVP videos surfacing amounted to simply spamming boost movement in the most nonsensical way for avoiding weapons, and thought eventually there will be players whose movements express going for the kill. I think we've now reached that point.

you could put ur zimm in ur right weapon bay so you could have access to the fist for combo extenders. its very good for securing a pile bunker when you know they dont have assault/pulse armor. just swap both weapon bays at the same time after landing pulse blade -> zimm then punch -> qb -> charged pile bunker. i was playing around with this and noticed that my preferred melee booster allula was putting me too far away from the punched enemy with its big qb, so id recommend the max boost speed booster p06spd as it has a shorter qb which is better for landing pile bunker without overshooting.

It's a practice thing imo. I land Pile Bunker far more than I miss it, even from distance. As for punching, I feel it's far too clunky for me, the animation is too long and the hit reg really varies. But hey, thank you for the suggestions!

Stun Baton can help set up another stagger if used right which literally stun locks opponents. Another thing you can do after landing a melee hit that leads into stagger, is to boost which allows you to switch weapons and get in their face without over shooting.

Hi mood i wanted to thank you for the build i have been trying so far and i have 2 issues. 1- i often find my self without energy especially when my opponent is in the air . 2- i struggle with the switch between my sword and pile bunker as the sword slash takes long time to recover do you use the full charged one or standard sword hit? . Your feed back would be appreciated on these issues .

So, this build is somewhat honest. Meaning it loses to other builds directly, e.g skyboxing missile spammers, it's an unbeatable fight all together. As for the swapping, go practice with the AC Trainer. After you land your charged slash, dash out of it, and swap to pile bunker as you are shooting the zimmerman. And no, I never use normal slashes, they do not stagger the enemy and are too risky. Unless the enemy is low hp and you want to get it over with.

double melee is the path to ascension, I personally run lance + bunker or empty hand for the stunlock punches.

That can definitely work, though Lance opener can be a little funky due to FromSoft netcode.

I noticed you used the charged attack of Pulseblade most of the time instead of the normal 2 combo slashes, is it just better in general?

It staggers the enemy AC unlike the normal strike, even with no ACS overload. Pulse Blade is pretty much the best opener melee weapon in the game atm b/c of the ridiculously long window it has to QB-cancel on the charge-attack in. The charge attack goes & tracks far as fuck, meaning it's hard for your opponent to avoid getting hit unless at the last second. It doesn't help you can spam it in quick succession when cancelled, forcing your opponent to play multiple guessing games in a row, where the worst outcome is getting ACS overloaded then pile-bunkered/chainsawed.

Im thinking of switching the laser dagger for the pulse blade on my main build, i find it hard to land outside of stagger combos, but i get a deadly 4 hit combo with LD and a wuerger charged attack so im little torn, any tips for using LD in neutral?

There is actually tech that will help you reach the enemy. If you do a basic attack, it lunges to the enemy, much like other melees. You can lunge -> cancel -> lunge -> cancel -> charge attack to actually be quick on your feet to throw people off!

Is the pulse blade better than the coral oscillator or is it just your preference

I'd say it is, only because I have bias towards the melee tech being very clean with it, as the Oscillator's basic slash does not stagger enemies. But the Oscillator manual aim tech is gnarly too.

Hey man, Love the videos. Pile Bunker FTW. But I am having trouble with my PB swaps. Most times when I swap to PB it wont attack and I miss my stagger windows. Is this because I am trigger happy and off tempo? Or is there some trick to get the PB to swap>attack faster?

There is a delay after the charged pulse blade attack hit that can be cancelled by another qb. You need to cancel the delay to pull of a quick follow up with the pb. Most charged attacks have post attack delays that can be cancelled with qb

It will eat your input if you do it too quickly. Try swapping to it during your zimmerman shot, when you dash post-blade hit.

Kikaku has the best melee thrust, but everything else with it sucks. I use Alula, it is far more balanced and has a bit of everything.

Absolutely loved your montage. I've taken some inspiration from your other videos and made a couple of builds that work well in 1v1 duels. I still don't use the pilebunker since I find it to be high risk, and I'm nowhere as skilled as you with that pigsticker. But I am now using the pulse blade as an opener the same way you do, and that alone has proven to be most effective in most duels.
