In this video I was lucky enough to visit Grimsby docks for the open day 2023.
Fantastic to see some of the buildings getting other uses but sadly so much of the docks history is crumbling away or has already been demolished. I hope you enjoy this video. Feel free to add comments like and share.

Brilliant video Jay x I can remember Dad taking me on there, when every building was occupied, boats were 4 deep, and the work was hectic. It's great to see this and a little sad that our precious heritage has been allowed to rot away like this. Nice job mate xx

Nice video Jay brought back many memories. I used to go down with my grandad from 1966 and then went on to work down dock till 1989, great times. Its sad to see how its been left to decay like it has but happy that some places are being restored. Thanks for sharing mate.

Thanks for the great feedback mark. I am a distant relation of the Drury family from the days of Drury Fish smoking and them making barrels for the ships. I love the docks.

Very interesting, but a painful watch for me as someone who spent their entire working life on "The Docks" and who remembers how it used to be. The pub was T C's not T J's!!

Thanks David. I am a descendent of the Drury brothers. I only worked on the docks for 6 years at bluecrest. I remember when I was a teen going round the pontoon stand it was packed with filters and barrels kits and workers
