You know, I guess this is just the way these "new age" cyphers go down, but personally, I find it kind of disappointing how these guys are all just "lip syncing" to a prerecorded track. No mics, not spitting it live. For me at least, that's a big part of why I love the underground, it's REAL and AUTHENTIC. So maybe that's why it bums me out a bit when I see dudes these days spitting some good shit sometimes, but it's just moving mouths to a track. The way I grew up, a cypher was a rhyme session that was happening right there on the spot and dudes would pass the mic around. Then you KNOW that shit's for real. It's not hard to go back to a studio and burn through a few tracks and edit them to make everything and everyone sound dope. Don't y'all fuckin jump on me here now, it's just my opinion, my beliefs, and my point of view. If you agree otherwise, then I'll respect that.
