Nice!! Can you notice a big difference in flight characteristics between the smaller mah and those 1500's?

@slowerlowerrc yes, although yet to be proven on paper. I think there's an ideal weight to lipo mah size limit ratio for the Grinderino somewhere around the 850mah to 1300mah. On one of my videos not posted online, my 03 AU recorded almost 9 minutes of flight, and I want to say it was with a 4s CNHL Black series 1050mah I got from Rotor Riot with HQ Prop's T3.5x2x3 props. I've been flying some HQ Prop T63MMX8 props with the 4s CNHL 1500mah and get about 5 to 6 minutes of flight time, depending on how aggressive I am on the throttle. With those props, lower flight times but absolutely stealth mode 💯 with the Grinderino. Nice for not upsetting those nearby with 100mph flights. 🫡

I agree. My 4s grinderinos rip. I only use the 6s to carry a gopro.

i just finished my 6s grinderino build and i get 6-8 min out of it depending on how i fly it i might even get up to 10 min if i fly as boring as possible :P i use 650mAh lipos and the copter is at 300g without action cam stack: T-Motor f7 45A 6s AIO vtx: HDZero Race V3 +90FpsCam motor: T-Motor P 1604 2850KV reciever: Radiomaster RP2 Nano props: HQProp 3525-3 lipo: Tattu Rline 6s 650mAh

If you want quick snappy response use the HQ Prop T3.5x2.5x3 If you want a smoother flight use the GEMFAN Hurricane 3.5x2x3 (3520-3) Thanks for the comment!!

I also run the zeee premium 650mah, it feels a little more floaty but the 850 does have more pep, i like the 850 better, also get about a minute more on 850, it's closer to a 5inch feel, speed scaled down a little of course! Awesome little oark flyer, i did contact ummagawd and he scaled them up and he was surprised the production model is heavier at 71g then the prototypes which was 65, I had to do some chamfering and swapped out the standoffs to get mine at 249g with the 650, of course its over with 850...

These are some great frames!! I beat the crap out of mine trying new tricks and I've only broke props!! They do fly awesome on those 850s though. I get even better punch on xt60 connector!! More weight though.

Sounds like a great setup!! The 6s is awesome as well but I agree and don't see the need. The 4s is fine. Some guys like the feel of the weight for tricks, it does make tricks smoother with the weight. I have both lol. Thanks for the comment!!

The sweet spot on any of these heavy 3.5" freestyle rigs is 1507 27000kv on 6s. My aos 3.5 with o3 air unit, and 1507 2700kv is almost too powerful lol. With an all up weight of 336g with a gnb 850mah 6s it flies exactly like a powerful 6s 5" rig... It makes sense if you run the numbers, ~340g on 3.5" props has almost exactly the same disc loading as ~850g on 5" props. I get 4 minutes of really hard freestyle, and up to 8 minutes of cruising...

Sounds like a sweet setup!! Do you have to cut the motors back any or are you running them 100 percent?@@DrFlathead

I have tried different motor brands, sizes, and kv's. The best I have found are the Ummagawd Aerolite 1605 3600KV Motor - Gunmetal/Blue - 3mm shaft. They are just perfect!! I have even used the same exact size and kv motors of a different brand and they were not nearly as good. These are just my opinions but allot of guys are using them!! Good Luck with the build!!
