Our final adventure in Glacier National Park is in the Many Glacier area, hiking along Swiftcurrent Lake & Lake Josephine to the Grinnell Glacier Trail, where we have encounters with grizzly bears and moose. The full trail was not yet open all the way to the actual glacier, but still a stunning hike and a fitting end to our first ever Glacier National Park trip. We also took the scenic boat tour back to the Many Glacier Lodge.

You know it’s a great place, when you can pause the movie anywhere, and it looks like a postcard! Simply amazing and beautiful, rivaling any travel video I’ve ever watched! I know it’s a great memory for both of you! I want to compliment you on the production quality. From the intro, angles, cuts, and music, this is pro all the way. Even without catching the grizzlies on camera, this is an awesome segment, one of your very best! I make KZfaq videos all the time, know the work that goes into making one, just wanted to say I appreciate all that went into this one!

Thanks Roger! Places like this make it easy, just turn on a camera, LOL. I do enjoy the editing process, I'm no pro, but I have fun with it. Still learning! I started out just showing the highlights of places we visit, now I hope viewers can delve into the experience, maybe even feel some of the exhilaration (or fear!) that we feel along the way.

Amazing day at Glacier NP! Wow, you had perfect blue skies and sunshine! We’ve hiked there in early July and also in September and loved it! Awesome job handling the grizzly bear encounter… what a surprise! In the end it’s great to know the bears ran off together when they saw you. Super great that you were hiking together and had two sets of eyes to assess the situation. Loved seeing the Moose pair and the amazing landscape. We had issues with the boats being full when we were there… but if you can get a ride it’s sure nice. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us! 👌🐻🐻👍👍😄 - Jennifer

We were fortunate in being there at the end of June, there were no wildfires yet to cloud the skies. We had NEVER seen a grizzly in the wild until this trip (even though we've been to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons a couple of times in years past!) My only disappointment was not being able to go all the way to the glacier itself. But those views, simply breathtaking. We were pretty tired by this time, so I was happy to ride the boats! Thanks for watching!

Wow! I have had black bear encounters in the Smokies and one was intense. Both of you with the Grizzlies were awesome. I believe I would have keeled over🤣🤣🤣. This was an awesome video.

Thanks! We've encountered many black bears as well, but this was the first time I truly felt fear, LOL! Thankfully the bears wanted nothing to do with us either. Thanks for watching!

I worried that I won't ever see you guys alive anymore LOL. Close one. Awesome hike. We did this twice but I have to admit, it was with a guided tour. We were too scared alone LOL

It might have been the first time I felt true fear on the trail, LOL. But the amount of actual *attacks* per encounter is minuscule, my odds of dying in a car accident while driving to Glacier are far higher than the odds of a bear attack. At least, that's what I tell myself, LOL! It was an adventure we'll never forget.

This place looks so pretty. The lake with the mountains is so pretty. You are right, something the midwest doesn’t offer. I’m surprised that you had this place to yourself in June. That’s so scary with the bear. You should have cold open with you running up the mountain. That is my biggest fear. I see you film on a GoPro also. I got the Volta and it is a game changer. Don’t have to replace the battery several times. That too view looked amazing. I would have taken the boat ride also.

Oh man, that would have made a great cold open! Missed opportunity. We loved this hike overall. If you ever go somewhere like this but are worried about bears, they DO offer guided hikes, all the views, but safety in numbers!
