Nice to see the bear was at peace and able to graze without humans being too close. And it was great to see humans acting like humans, as they were respectful of the bear’s space! 😊😌

That guy on his bicycle towards the end let that bear get too close I believe. It wouldn’t take too long for the bear to charge and close the distance if it wanted to.

The traffic is unbearable.

Keep your distance and don't bother the bear and it will generally keep its distance and not bother you. Seems pretty simple.

Wife and I flew to Calgary from Ontario , drove thru Alberta ,stayed in Revelstoke Best Western Plus as our base , northern Bc , and back and were blessed to see 5 grizzlies in the wilderness. Last one was momma with Two frolicking Cubs . Momma came up behind the car , rangers moved in and over their PA system told us we were in danger ,to move out of the area . We did as told . But the 10 minutes were amazing . One thing for sure we had no intentions to step out of the car . Don’t mess with a momma grizzly. We were told that seeing so many grizzlies in one day was very unusual ,they said some people who have lived there have never seen a grizzly. Great Vacation . Funny part was ,we flew back to london Ontario the next week and our jet landed amongst two active tornadoes in the immediate area . It was a really rough landing ,great pilot. Getting that jet on the tar Mac safely was scarier then seeing those grizzlies. Now ,THATS FUNNY. Eh !

I assume this is along the Bow River Parkway (see the sign post in the corner). We were on bikes less than a mile from there on July 25, 2022 heading towards Banff and saw a black bear doing the same, eating along the side of the road. However, we didn’t stop. We kept right on going on the opposite side of the road. I see those on the bikes took off right away as the bear heads towards them.
