Australia has the strictest quarantine and customs regulations in the world so this a huge task.
We are doing all of this during one of the longest and most severe wet seasons on record in Japan.

I can't even leave my Defender I a car park without looking back lol. Life is to short to have a dull truck. Looking forward to the next part of the adventure

Yes, I think Australia is the best option in those times. A whole continent to travel around and incredible big and beautiful landscapes. Simply perfect for overlanding. Looking forward to see your videos from Australia. Greetings from Switzerland

With the current issues the world is dealing with and resulting travel restrictions and quarantining I think it's wise choice to head back to Australia. The caning stock route would certainly be a challenge for bear.

What a mission, well done for getting everything sorted and then sorted again after your flights were cancelled. I have shipped household effects into Australia a few times and it is always a nervous time trying to get everything right for customs and quarantine inspection. Will be great to see you guys in Australia for a while, plenty of space for adventures and travel as you know.

As I’m sure you know, you have to weigh the cost savings of using RO/RO vs using a container and getting to keep all your stuff in your vehicle. If you have a lot of expensive gear to ship, it’s usually cheaper to use a shared container. Alternatively you can go RO/RO and then ship your equipment via a cube. My experience is the container ends up cheaper
