Storyline:
Amiable, unassertive Scott Mary picks up the trash, cleans the toilets, sweeps the floors in the town of Clifton. Then a gunfighter comes to town. He offers advice and guidance to Scott who quickly begins to toughen and mature, thus upsetting the balance of power in the town. Written by dinky-4 of Minneapolis.
Review:
Really good, from the languorous, elegiac opening to the full throttle finish, I enjoyed it all. I note that IMDb shows a running time of 95 minutes whilst my new Arrow DVD runs nearer 115. Can that be so, 20 minutes cut from the previous print? It is just possible for there is a surprisingly large amount of time given to introduction of the characters and the town so that we might become totally involved. Goodness knows what anyone would make of much of this film without the precious opening ten minutes where Giuliano Gemma is introduced to us, literally as a sh*t shoveler before coming under the wing of the majestic Lee van Cleef. The famous Almeria set and surrounds plays its part well too and whilst the tale is fairly simple (revenge!) it is so well told and whilst the opening scenes seem to show a ghost town by the end we have seen it teeming with folks from all around. A fine film with much violence. Written By Christopher-Underwood.

_I've got to say, Lee Van Cliff was simply magnetic in his Spaghetti Western roles. Whenever he strolled onto the screen, dust swirling around his boots, eyes as cold as steel, I found myself leaning forward, totally hooked. He had this raw, authentic grittiness that really brought the wild, wild west to life, right there in my living room. But what I admired most was how he added layers to his characters, making them so much more than your typical gunslingers. He wasn't just playing tough guys - he was playing real, complex individuals who had their own stories to tell. That kind of depth made his performances unforgettable for me. Honestly, Van Cliff's performances are a big part of what made me fall in love with Spaghetti Westerns. His style, his intensity, his knack for bringing characters to life - they're all part of the magic. What an incredible talent he was. His legacy in the genre will live on forever._

Van Cleef was one superb actor , it really suited him to play bad guys , i just cant put my finger on what did that to him , but his presence on screen all the way around all in one pakage , and you sir could not be more right in your saying .

as much as I am a huge fan of Clint Eastwood, I think Lee van Cleef is the *ultimate good/bad guy in western movies* and that unique look of *'those gunfighter angel eyes'* is recognised instantly all around the world. A much underrated actor, but not in my eyes.

With Lee van Cleef, it's often hard to say whether he was playing the good guy or the bad. In this movie, I think he kept the mystery going right till the end. He was on his own side, took out a lot of garbage, but didn't pander to authority, either. His only mistake was, that he thought he could make Scott forget the lessons that he himself had taught him so well.

Addicted to these western greats you name it from John Wayne to Clint, LVC to that ugly Elli and Terrence to Charles Brownson. It was my high school era I never missed them even being in India. Thanks for opportunity to watch them again and again.... better than nasty dramas and depressing news channels😋

Thanks for upload of this fine movie with good story. Scottie; bloody coward and thankless "Bastard" indeed. The townfolks called him Bastard, insulted him, treated him like a slave. On the other hand "Talby" gave him respect, taught him to be a man, & the Bastard paid him back by shooting him.

Great film, i love the character of Scott Mary. Can't help with sympathize with him and understand, being talked down to and kicked around all of his life only to be respected via the fear and anger he learns to demand from those very people through the use of a gun.

"The Right Bullet at the right Time." That line just hit differently. Some of the lines in this movie would make for great samples in a rap song. Never Trust anyone, stay wary, Only brother my gun, just like Scott Mary.

In Europe Van Cleef was a huge star, in Spain for example he was just behind Eastwood Bronson .and Terence Hill, a major box office sensation,I remember standing in line for this film in Spain and the lines went round the block..

When I was little back in South America every Friday at night we use to watch western Italiano, best western movies ever, the music was great and not loud like nowadays Lee van cliff and Clint Eastwood top actors I still love the good the bad and the ugly great classic.

Lee Van Cliff is the best Western bad guy ever. Clinton Eastwood is the best good guy and Lee is the best bad guy. It's a crime shame they didn't make more movies together. No disrespect Terrance Hill and Bud Spencer: the Masters of Western Comedy.

I've been looking for this movie for 50 years. I only remember it by the theme. I was only about 10 yrs old but funny how music will stay with you. Locations from a Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More. YAY!! Fantastic quality video(again) from Grjngo - Western Movies .

Just what a movie should be not over complicated, cool action, practical effects and a run time that doesn't need a bathroom break. Spaghetti Westerns were great movies to grow up with.
