I was so unconfident and shy that i couldn’t even go buy chocolate from grocery store. I always waited for people to come talk to me. It was so hard to live without confidence i was struggling so much. I was always doing what people wanted from me because i was afraid of losing them. Because it was hard for me to have friends and it was scary to loose them. So it made me more uncomfortable. 2 years ago one day i finally found some confidence in myself. It felt so beautiful. I felt free. I had more friends which i didn’t let them control me. I could go places i wanted. I always wish i had it before but better late than never. I know it might sound stupid or lame but it was really hard for me. Thank you if you read this

This is lovely to see and hear all of your beautiful and honest testimonies. This is my birthday month (turning 55) and told myself last year this is the year to jump back onto a board. Have not been on a board since I was a kid. After watching a couple of girlswirl videos I would like to start up a chapter of your cause and 'pay it forward'. I already have two young ladies wanting to skate with me lol.

I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to talk to these three girls at school. I didn't have many friends but they made me feel comfortable with who I was and we've been best friends for around 4 years now. I'm not sure what I would do without them 😊 ❤

I stepped out of my comfort zone a week ago today by going to the doctors and for the first time in 10 years opening up about the fact that I was really struggling. Since then I have also opened up to my uni friends, which was really hard because I didn’t want to feel like a burden or weak, but they have been amazing and I am so lucky to have them

I've stepped out of my comfort zone a lot lately just by doing things that give me anxiety and conquering them head on. My therapist always has told me by experiencing things and letting yourself feel your anxiety, it helps you to get better at controlling it. So I've stepped out of my comfort zone just by doing little things like driving or going places alone. I've also stepped out of it by doing big things like going to concerts which give me anxiety but is also something I enjoy, so I need to experience them in order to enjoy them more and feel less anxious. I've learned that you can't let fear stop you from doing what you want to do whether big or small! I love MSYFAO, such an amazing message to spread to everyone. It's important to make sure your mental health is in check so you can allow yourself to continue to conquer all things that you never thought you could!

I struggle with anxiety and agoraphobia. I stepped out of my comfort zone when I traveled seven hours away from home for three days. I ended up feeling better than I have in years and was one example in my life of how freedom is on the other side of discomfort and fear.

This is the most inspiring and fun thing i have seen in soooo long!!! I am so happy for all of you! 10 years ago i worked for a program for the state working on trails, roafs, state parks, national parks, and beaches. Everyday it was some new beautiful and incredible challenge. I would get up at 4:45, get dressed, eat a little, and have some coffee, then all the girls would load up their stuff and get ready for the day and we all go to work out and watch the sunrise and get ready for the days new adventures. Its amazing to see what you women are doing, i am so excited and happy for you. Thank you for inspiring me again. 👊👊👊👊👊👊💜💜💜

This is beautiful..the video visuals and of course the message itself. The fact that they found something that makes them feel so happy and free is really inspiring. I relate a lot to the part about fear. I would worry all the time about what people thought of me. And that fear I carried kept me from a lot of opportunities. A favorite quote of mine is “limits, like fears, are often just an illusion.” The girls in the video said it themselves in their own way. I’m currently a sophomore in college and all growing up and especially in high school my social anxiety tore me apart. I got help but what ultimately has helped me more than anything was meeting the people I’ve met this year. This year I found my people. A group of friends that make me feel the best and happiest I’ve felt in a long time. It reminded me of the video and how those girls created a group that made them feel so alive. It shows how far supporting others can go.I’m bless to have my friends and I will make sure they are okay until the end of time and the best part is I know they will make sure I am too. The msyfao community rocks. So glad to be following it. 💓

When i was 20 i went to work at a summer camp leading adventure activities. I was so out of touch with my mental health because i was taught that it’s best to not talk about your problems and put on a happy face for others. When i went to the camp, i was so uncomfortable at first because they were very big on talking about mental health and our issues. But after being there for a couple months, and opening up, i realized my struggles and how to help with them to make my life truly happy and healthy. I also learned how to have conversations and help others in the same situations. I was also able to use that to help with the kids i was leading activities for, which was the biggest payoff of it

I decided to volunteer for tabling at an event at my school that meant that I would have to talk to a bunch of strangers and usually I wouldn’t actively seek to do on my own. Once I got there I quickly became more and more comfortable talking to people simply because I was providing them with helpful information and getting a smile out of a person even from a quick interaction is such a good feeling. I realized that I love to be a resource for people and I love to educate people about opportunities available to them and so now I always volunteer and help out at events like that.

I stepped out of my comfort zone when I moved to a new country, learned a new language, and had to make new friends. Socializing was hard but worth it because I met great people and it changed my life for the better. Positivity was definitely a result.
