Its crazy prices here in the states too...have to really be careful with what you choose to buy....we are in such a terrible drought here in SC that our gardens that we had such hopes for this year are awful already had to pull up squash and cabbages 😢 love your videos and love hearing you read although I never seem to be able to listen live but always catch on replay ❤

I work in a supermarket and I am amazed at some of the prices. I don't buy brands anymore bar of coffee and try to get as much as possible on multi buys or reduced price. Veg I freeze or can, dented cans no problem, what I can't afford or justify even as a treat doesn't get bought. Our cats however get whatever they like, but even cat food has nearly doubled in price in the last few years.

I'm not bragging but I shop at local Kroger. They have coupons is you have a Kroger card and then you can download digital coupons for better deals. My last shopping trip was $40 less with coupons and my card. A friend wanted to get in on digital coupon and a deal of buy 2Pepsi or coke products and get 3 free but didn't have a current card, so I scanned my card and her initial cost was $115 but after discounts her final cost was$88. I am now a believer in coupons and especially the digital coupons.

I’m in Michigan the difference in price can depend on area. my kids live in one area very high, I live in another area so they come shopping here when they visit.

I love you and watch all your videos, but for some reason these videos where you show what yall bought for however much money are my favorites. It's insane how much groceries (and everything else) has went up here in the states, and in Canada.

Same thing happened to me I found the generic more expensive than the namebrand. $.24 more was the generic. I noticed on cottage cheese that it all has a lot of junk in it. I noticed that Daisy cottage cheese has three ingredients that’s it. Never realized that the generic and other brands had a butt load of stuff in it. I guess I’m buying Daisy from now on. It’s better for you anyhow. great haul. never get very much for your money. That’s for sure.

Yep, Bev, that sounds about right! Here in the States is the same way. You go to the grocery store and come home with 3 bags and this will cost you a $150.00, and that's without meat. It is so disconcerting whats going on with the prices of everything 😢

Every time I go in the stores for just the basics, it cost me between $60 to $80 dollars. I'm so happy that our pantry is stocked, but restocking is scary as the prices are higher now. 😢

Prices are outrageous in Wisconsin too. I just don't know how young families are making it. My husband & I spend at least $125 a week and it's only a few bags!

Ladies I don’t know about Canada but in the US many of our stores have apps. Ours had a 20% off coupon if you spent $150, I bought a month’s worth of food for $200! It’s just me, and an elderly cat lol, but 1/2 of what I spent was kitty litter and cat food! Stocking up!❤❤❤❤

I went shopping and ended up just walking out. I was sick because now Everything on the products ingredient lists says "bioengineered ingredients" GMO. SO my fridge is pretty empty. Has been for a while now. Finding anything without that crap in it is really hard. Praying for my garden and every home gardener out there to do well this year. I was told to "just stop reading the ingredients" but id rather FIGHT IT.

That mayonnaise (Best Foods) here in California costs $6.99 😮😢 It's getting to where we can't even afford to make a sandwich with mayo. We already only eat beef and pork once a week. The rest of the week is chicken or a vegetarian meal.

It just gets worse and worse. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow. I've already decided to get us a couple of steaks to celebrate! That and we need some red meat in our diet besides hamburger and a roast every 3 months!

Thank you for sharing! Ridiculous! Price of new potatoes here on the Island is sad. I can get a 10 lbs bag of old potatoes for $5 & a 3 lbs bag of new potatoes is around $6.99 in stores 😮.Better if you go directly to the farmer, ofcourse. Crazy. Shop around & only shop deals 😉 God bless you & keep you both safe.

We just did our monthly shopping and the bill was just over $550.00. The meats were 10 lb ground beef, 3 lb chicken, 2 cans of tuna and an 18 count of eggs. We went on a splurge and got a 6 count bag of everything bagels, a jar of popcorn, and a small bottle of lemon juice. We don't even buy bread anymore I just make it homemade. Even toilet paper is over a buck a roll.

No it doesn’t Bev, groceries are so expensive that you can’t afford the necessities let alone meat. I spent that yesterday and only meat was 2 packs breakfast sausage and the rest was fruit, vegetables, dairy and didn’t get any cheese. Have a blessed day ❤️🤗

My goodness, ever since COVID, it's been harder and harder on the budget to buy groceries, gas and utilities are also caution. It's more expensive for you in Canada, but since Biden took office, it's a disaster in America!

For the longest time your groceries were outrageously expensive compared to what I was paying. Now it seems my prices are going up and catching up to yours. This is just miserable for all of us. I’m so sorry.
