I LOVE the fact that you don't shop exclusively at health food stores and can still maintain a healthy diet. Those places are over priced and over rated! People shouldn't be afraid of fruits and veggies from the local farmers markets or better yet, ethnic grocery stores...it's so much cheaper! And yes, fridge and pantry tour!

This is my most favourite healthy lifestyle youtube channel because not only do you kill it with the amount of nutritional info and effort in your recipes, but you also take budget into consideration. Coming from an expensive city like Vancouver, it's not always easy to buy organic, as much as I'd love to. Thanks for being a realistic inspiration!!!

Regarding the cashews, stick them in the freezer! They'll stay fresh, and you can eat them without even having to thaw them. :) I do this with all my nuts and seeds.

I love how you are coat effective yet you buy things that are healthy. it makes me feel like I can relate to you a bit more (compared to other YTbers who can drops hundreds at Whole Foods). great video, I thumbed up before even watching the first 10 seconds :)

more what I eat in a day videos, more weekly meal prep...chicken recipes pleeeze..I finally tried the cold blackbean, corn, etc salad with the mojo dressing..wow what a cool thing to accent different meals.I added jalepenos and cilantro as well to mine...great with fish. chicken and on top of a salad.. Thanks for sharing mind over munch...You are inspiring!!

Love those simply balanced butternut squash purees! I put them in my mac n cheese recipes - and oddly enough, i mix the carrot or butternut squash ones with mustard or greek yogurt and use them as salad dressing! weird, i know, but its delicious

Mind Over Munch :) Also, raw cashews are often available at Indian food stores (that's where I buy them). Might even be cheaper than Whole Foods? Worth a try.

Yes!! I love pantry/fridge tours! Also the Enjoy Life vegan chocolate chips are hard to find in FL! I find them at Whole Foods but thats really the only place to buy them!

Yayyyy for pumpkin season! I recently bought some pumpkin butter at Publix for something sweet with my toast. Not the healthiest option but it sure is a nice treat now and then. I vote yay for the pantry tour and farmer's market haul. It's always cool to see what other people consider staples in their kitchen. Another great video! Glad you and Christian are settling nicely in sunny California. 💜

And it really isn't that terrible for you depending on which you get, I have a homemade recipe that's delicious! :) I MISS PUBLIX!!! Love your videos. Think a pantry/fridge tour would be very educational. Would like to see the farmer's market idea also. I live in L.A. also and get organic delivered straight from local farms. It's always what is in season and they keep the costs down, so it is a great way to go.

Thanks for sharing. I definitely watch your channel because I feel like you are realistic about things and honest about trying your best and doing what works for your life. So don't feel like you have to apologize for that! Trying to be perfect is what makes us give up often. Also glad you found the black bean pasta elsewhere. I went to WF to look for them after seeing it here and had complete sticker shock and did not buy it. So I will keep looking other places.

Woo new video! I'm pretty sure our groceries are like, 85% the same. I find myself buying a lot of frozen veggies, but there are some things I want to start getting fresh. I live in Western Washington so I feel like I need to take advantage of the produce. :) I'd really like to see a pantry and fridge tour! Thanks again!

Farmer's market tour would be great! Love farmer's markets, though in LA, they are crazy good and also the most generous with giving out samples compared to the one's in NYC that don't do samples at all or are very skimpy about them.

I am a new subscriber and I love your videos. I would love the pantry/fridge tour. I am really trying to get my mind over my food. I don't know if I was doing that poorly but I definitely need more variety in the health food section. I am working on a two week menu planner right now, not easy!!! Another tasty filling for celery is a little cream cheese then finely sliced onion and some dried chopped apricots or a smear of apricot jam :) Also add a little blue cheese to some steamed cauliflower, delicious!

Nice to see some of the products you enjoy. I felt sorry for you when you said you get so tired from cooking so much! I did a meal prep for the week yesterday and wasn't really in the mood - I said to my boyfriend I was tired of cooking and felt like I was chained to the stove, lol. Would love to see farmer's market or fridge tour videos... love all your videos :)

I literally JUST bought that same exact butternut squash soup. I haven't tried it yet but I'm excited :D Weeee! And those purees you got from Target are neat! I'm thinkin you could use them for some kind of pasta sauce, lots of possibilities. Also, definitely love the idea of a fridge tour!

When I first saw this video I was taken aback and intimated by all the fruits and veggies. Now I think it’s normal, it makes me happy because it shows to myself how far I’ve come from just eating cucumber, pasta and chicken, finally getting over all my foodie problems 😅

Our family had very similar shopping habits. I have three very rapidly growing preteen boys and I just don't have as much time or energy for us to eat all raw or all whole. I love to make things from scratch when I can, but you gotta do whatcha gotta do!

You women are amazing on your sweet disposition regarding eating healthy. I truly appreciate how you both are honest and real that not one size fits all. Hey Alyssia! Just finished watching this video and thought it was great! I just thought I'd leave a suggestion about the raw cashews. I am trying to go near-zero waste and so I spend a bit of time in the bulk section at Whole foods. At least in my area, you can buy raw cashews and it tends to be a better price per weight. You can also buy just the amount that you want, so you can get a smaller quantity each week. I keep my nuts in mason jars and that works great to keep them from getting stale, but you could use any kind of container that had a seal. Hope that helps you enjoy your raw cashews a little longer! Thanks for the tip! I have bought raw cashews in the bulk bins but they seem to go bad much more quickly than the pre-packaged, I know it isn't ideal waste-wise but I also end up wasting the cashews if they go stale before I eat them... :( So glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you!

I think its funny how here in mexico is cheaper to get fresh vegetables instead of the frozen ones :) great video, and I'd love to see a whats in your pantry and fridge its really entretaining! saludos desde méxico👍
